Truth is, people get hired for what they can do, but just as much for who they are. You generally don't embark on film adventures with strangers. It's often just too personal and intimate a journey (like sharing hotel rooms).

That's why this year's reel is not a series of my latest & greatest, but rather a micro introduction to the person behind it.

On the 25th of April the Peacewalk started in Amsterdam.

The Peacewalk is a 15-month collective pilgrimage from Europe to Jerusalem/Al-Quds.

Everyone can join for a our, a day, month year, whatever suits you. It's been en empowering journey to have been a part of so far.

What an incredible way to start 2026. @robertjanglas asked me to help document the start of the #Peacewalk. It is what it says on the package, you walk for peace. By activity engaging, by reflecting, by learning, by advocating, by not knowing. What an immense honour to be at the start of this. ... a selection of 2025 highlights....

01. Spirit of Amsterdam Campaign
I worked on @thespirit.amsterdam Spirit of Amsterdam in a very busy period, but no problem. This content gave me so much new energy. The subject matter really hit home. And image-wise, using the @Fujifilm GFX 100 ii was really inspiring and motivating, especially in these stunning locations.

02. Greenpeace
Going on assignment with @greenpeacenl Nederland is never relaxing. That’s the whole point. If it doesn’t provoke friction, nothing changes. To raise awareness about deep-sea mining, we visited AllSeas. Not much went as planned for the video, but we improvised on the spot and still managed to create this.

03. Still Photography
I was lucky to meet @gijsbertterhaar ter Haar, who trusted me with doing photography for the Achmea Impact Ventures website. Photography is not something do get regularly, but love. Still images are really powerful and require a different brain and creative muscle. Just ask any photographer doing it the other way around and getting into video :)

04. Fonq Voice-over
I’ve been doing voice-overs for several years now, but since the rise of AI, the market for simple voice-overs (like explainer animations, etc.) has completely collapsed. But, for more complex voice-overs, it’s good that the machine stays out of the picture for now. Thanks to @joypipeloi & @keyhe for trusting me with this.

05. Camino
In may had a lengthy break to walk the Camino Primitivo in Northern Spain with my 12 year old son. That was 300 k's of hard work, but I would do it again any day. I mean is, stop reading this post and just go and walk the Camino. Buen Camino!

I don't normally shoot still photography, but shooting stills for Achmea Impact Ventures new website was a true joy. So glad they asked. I satisfied my hunger for adventure by shooting on old Canon FD glass on a Medium Format Fujifilm Camera. Really proud of the result. Big thanks to Gijsbert ter Haar for trusting me with this.

For startup GuestButler we were 1 actor short, so I dusted off my acting skills and stept in. That was a bit uncomfortable but fun. A big thanks to everyone involved.

For holland.com I've been shooting seasonal header video's. We started in winter, so of I went to Limburg, where it snowed like crazy. Yes we got stuck. And yes, it was worth it :)
