我们创造出来一个陌生的分类，产生了一个固定的东西。所以我就想在这个固定的范式之外，再有一个分支——李论 @lilun__lilun

We created an unfamiliar classification and produced something fixed. So, I wanted to establish a branch outside of this fixed paradigm — Li Lun

记忆好像也是这样，你以为自己记得的是一件很具体的事情，但时间久了之后，真正留下来的可能根本不是那件事情本身……可能我的画就是在留住这些已经有点认不清的东西——吴于靖

Memory seems to work the same way: you think you remember a specific event, but as time passes, what truly remains might not be the event itself... Perhaps my paintings are about preserving these things that have become somewhat indistinct — Wu Yujing

🌞 WD Art Space is pleased to present “万象VI Everything Under the Sun VI”, opening this Saturday, September 12.

The exhibition features works by 丁靖严Ding Jingyan, 李论Li Lun, and 吴于靖Wu Yujing.

Ding Jingyan’s paintings are not born from visual observation but from the sediment of perception, memory, and consciousness. Influenced by Zen and Daoist thought, his work traces the emergence and dissolution of the “self,” loosening the fixed boundaries between the individual and the world.@tin_zinjiim

Li Lun’s practice begins where humans step aside, allowing animals and nature to return. Refusing the binary of human and non‑human, he reveals bodies continuously shaped by desire and transformation—bodies that exceed all classification and leave unstable, visceral traces.@lilun__lilun

Wu Yujing returns to land, memory, and spiritual belonging. Rooted in his Chaoshan heritage, he uses collage and layered printmaking to reassemble fragments of tradition, seeking an anchor for identity and faith in a rapidly changing world.

📅Please join us for the opening on Saturday, September 12.

"The lines in these images represent the trajectories I traced while testing the flow of my own life within a confined space. They are like a living entity compressing itself, compelled to reach outward." — Qi Le @qile_artist

"I think it might stem from my tendency to observe people closely. As we age—whether out of shyness or a sudden sense of numbness—we often internalize things rather than expressing them. I enjoy observing these nuances and then capturing or emphasizing them in my work. These fleeting emotions can seem too trivial to mention, leading many—myself included—to overlook them. Yet, while drawing, I might catch a glimpse of something or a particular expression that sticks with me; I want to preserve it in the image, using line work to highlight it and give it greater weight and focus."——Sun Manon @edelwand

WD Art Space is pleased to present “万象 Everything Under the Sun V”, opening this Friday, July 10.

-

Curated by Qiao Duxing, the exhibition features the work of three artists: Qi Le @qile_artist , Sun Manon @edelwand , and Xie Xuanxuan @xiexuanxuan111

Qi Le’s paintings do not stem from visual experience; instead, they are structured through the overlapping traces of memory, perception, and the passage of time, returning to the primal state of "万象" to explore how life unfolds before it is defined by names.

Sun Manong’s paintings center on the human figure yet make no attempt to narrate human stories; her fluid, relaxed lines forgo anatomical precision in favor of an infinite approach toward spiritual resonance.

Xie Xuanxuan’s work is a journey traced by perception, moving between mythological narratives and scenes of everyday life to capture—and fix upon the canvas—those fleeting moments from her experiences and stories that stir the heart.

🌞Please join us for the opening this Friday 15:00.
