TOPICALS LIKE BUTTER HYDRATING MASK 🧈 | Meet your new dry skin hero that you probably didn’t know existed. This hydrating mask is for dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin. It is fragrance-free which is super important for those of us with sensitive skin. All @topicals products are science-backed and fragrance-free. The texture of this mask is silky, lightweight and it is fast-absorbing and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue. I’ve been using this on my flareups for about 2 months and it literally gets rid of the inflammation of my chest rash —the rash that seems to come and goes these days—in about 1 week. It’s #TEXTURETUESDAY | I love @niccktownsendsalon’s micellar water 💦. I’ve been using it in my routine since I grabbed it at @iecsc back in April. I still have to post a reel from that day, I learned so much from his Six-Figure Master Brow Class. Thank you for the gems @niccktownsendsalon! 🫶🏾

How does Micellar water work?

Well, it’s water with cleansing ingredients in it, essentially. Particles called “micelles” dissolve dirt, oil, impurities and makeup from the skin without stripping your skin’s lipid barrier. It’s perfect for skin refresher, it gently cleanses and removes makeup. I love that it leaves no residue left behind.

This @laneige_us Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer is currently one of my favorite moisturizers to keep my skin hydrated all day and night. It all started with a sample from Sephora, then I had to purchase it after I ran out. The texture is so smooth and lightweight, it absorbs quickly into my dry, eczema-prone, sensitive skin and doesn’t feel greasy leaving a nice satiny finish. It also has a subtle clean, fresh fragrance that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin—my fellow humans will understand—but not all fragrances are problematic to for our skin.

I absolutely looove that it comes a cute little spatula for hygienic purposes that I clean with alcohol before and after using it to scoop out the product before application.

MAKEUP MONDAY | To those of you who might not already know, I’ve been a freelance model for a little over a decade and an Esthetician for 5 years. Back in 2018, I got the opportunity to model for celeb MUA @anasmakeupartistry’s 1-on-1 class with another talented MUA @spicylola.mua. They created this beauty sultry glam look together. Glad I shot my shot in the comments that day lol, I didn’t expect to be chosen out of so many people who commented. I was a bit self-conscious about my eczema going crazy on my neck and chest area, but I still went for it. It was a pleasure working with both of them, I got to learn more makeup and skin tips & techniques. One of the most essential tips that I keep in mind from Ana is “placement and blending is everything”. It’s amazing how Instagram and other social media platforms connect us all. 💖✨

UNDERARM WAX using the beautiful @nova_wax. 🤩✨
So yesterday, it was time to do my routine underarm wax. Immediately after, I applied @queeneyescompany’s Petal Pétrole Ingrown Hair Therapy to soothe and rejuvenate my skin. I love waxing my underarms every 2-3 weeks, I’ve been doing this for about 3 or 4 years now and refuse to put a razor on them. Shaving can be very irritating, especially if you have sensitive skin like me.

Last year is when I started waxing my own brows. 😌 I used @satinsmoothpro Ultra Sensitive Zinc Oxide Wax to shape them and @covergirl Micro-Fine + Define Pencil in Rich Brown to lightly fill them in.

SOAP BROWS 🧼 (*see previous post to see how this product tames my brows*)
So...I looove fluffy, feathery and brushed up brows that stay in place all day. I finally got my hands on @soapbrows by @westbarnco recently and I instantly fell in love with it. Thanks to them for creating a brow styling product for this look, we don’t have to use actual soap on our brows because that could cause dryness. Dryness when it comes to your hair and skin? No bueno. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

WHAT IS IT? WHAT’S THE HYPE?! “Soap brows” is one of many brow grooming methods out there that has been common in the makeup industry for decades, but has become mainstream over the past few years. It is an affordable trick to achieve a fluffed up, feathery brow by dampening a bar of soap, rubbing a spoolie/mascara brush to slightly coat the brush with a little soap to distribute it through your brows.
