As a witchy, bookish, plant lady this is a great read. It covers so much more than just plants. A history of forgotten and banished medicine and practices. Definitely worth a look. #witchywoman #bookish #bookstagram #read by @a.reading.spell

My September recap, I didn’t read as much as I wanted but I love where migraines are common place and so I had to deal with that. Overall I had fantastic reads this month! #recap #books #bookish #bookcommunityofinstagram #reviews by @a.reading.spell

I’m not crying, you’re crying. Rachel Gillig has done it again, another beautiful and brilliant duology. This gothic fairytale had me laughing and almost crying and holding my breath and exhaling with relief. Her beautiful writing is both lyrical and painterly, the world within is vast and flawed in its beliefs. Our merry band of characters is out to brake down the systems that failed them and hope for something better to grow from the ashes. If you need a gothic fairytale for the ‘ber months let me put this one in the running. #bookish #gothic #fantasy #smallbookstagram #bookcommunity by @a.reading.spell

August recap, I definitely thought I read less this month since it was quite busy for me and I felt like I didn’t get to read as much. But yay me I made it to 6 😆 I got in a couple arcs and over all had some really fun reads. How was your August? #augustrecap #readingwrapup #bookish #books #smallbookstagram by @a.reading.spell

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read the ARC of this work.

I. Was. Not. Prepared.
Let me tell you, I knew what I was in for and I was still woefully unprepared for this.
The world is in shambles from a nuclear disaster and after the fallout the powers that be are rebuilding in their image. The corruption in the area is brimming and the resistance is shrinking and not everything is what it seems.
The trauma in this is palpable and honestly I don’t tend to listen to this advice myself but read your trigger warnings! This was really well done and had an even blend of being plot driven and character driven. The character arcs are wild and so good.
Honestly I want to say more but I think my brain is broken and still processing haha. #arcreader #arcreview #Retrograde #dystopian #books by @a.reading.spell
