Soon, my majestic Linden Tree neighbor and temple guardian will once again be adorned with its million leaves. As the days stretch longer and the sun sits higher, delicate buds signal the arrival of spring—a beautiful testament to the cycles of life.

The Linden Tree holds a special place in my heart, one of my spirit plants, that graces my balcony, right outside my living room window.
Throughout the years I have created a sacred bond with this magnificent companion, as it gifts me with countless sensory pleasures.

Sound: The gentle rustling of its leaves in the wind serves as a soothing balm for my restless mind. It beckons humming bees and serenades singing birds, together orchestrating a symphony of nature’s harmonies that resonates at ear level.

Visual: With each passing season, it adorns itself in a new ensemble, a visual spectacle that reflects the energetic theme of the time and guides me to embrace the call of strength and growth after the winter, as i see the buds grow. In autumn it encourages me to surrender and release, like the shedding of its leaves. Throughout it all, it stands tall with unwavering confidence, a constant source of inspiration and steadfast support.
In its full splendor, the Linden Tree serves as a shield, offering privacy from prying eyes as I dance and lie naked in the warmth of summer within my home.

Touch: Its canopy provides a cool respite, shading my balcony from the sweltering heat of the sun.

Smell: the pinnacle of its magnificence lies within its blooming season, coinciding with my very own birthday in June. The air becomes saturated with an intoxicating perfume. This aromatic scent permeates my sanctuary, infusing each of my cells with a love and joy frequency that transcends the ordinary.

Taste: I capture the fragrance when harvesting its blossoms and brew delicious teas or linden sirups that bring continuous happiness & gratitude throughout the year.

Truly, the Linden tree is a magnificent masterpiece of nature and its presence brings solace, inspiration, and a profound connection to the rhythms and wonders of life.

This years burn had a different vibe to previous editions.
I realised that the weather really directs the nature of how the city’s frequency and human interactions unfold.

On one hand, citizens were tested by how we show up for one another and ourselves when things get tough. Coming together and bracing storms in union is a powerful experience, and that was very present this year. I feel like many of us had more intense and intimate experiences within our close circles and camps.

Usually, when the weather is kind, Black Rock City feels like it is spilling out of itself. Everyone is outside, faces uncovered, bodies half naked, camps wide open & on schedule. Gifts appear from nowhere and strangers pull you into completely ridiculous adventures. There is creativity, absurdity and glorious nonsense around EVERY corner. This collective extroversion was somehow less present this year.

Somehow the weather made everyone less playful and silly and instead collectively turn inward and more serious (cleaning/repairing/hermiting).

The dust meant goggles, masks and covered faces. The rain & cooler temperatures meant seeking shelter and warmth. Bodies disappeared into coats and camps, and naturally there was a little more need for protection, privacy and conserving energy. Instead of constantly expanding outward, we contracted.

This festive galore everywhere on route, was somehow overshadowed by everyone fighting to get to a place as safe as possible, including myself.

Burning Man has always been the place where the journey IS the destination, and this year that somehow felt different.

It became much more introspective. The external noise was turned down and I was faced with more of myself in the dust.

And whenever I wandered and trusted my intuition, the magic was still there. The art was still there. The creativity, absurdity and serendipity were still there. Just a more quiet kind of magic.

And although I missed that wild, silly, open, half-naked collective playfulness deeply, I’m also grateful that the desert showed me another version of herself — one that asked us to come closer, look inward and find the magic rather than constantly having it thrown at us. by @a.sensual.obsession

I got to spend this burn with my OG burner fam and the enchanting @nipple.pie gang🙏🏼❤️
I would say that the cherry on the top was having the entire Goin family join - witnessing the parents of my dear friends @tylergoin86 & @kelseygoin not just surviving but actually mastering the experience and having fun in this mad city was really a highlight!
This place brings out our inner child and artist - no matter the age🧚🏽‍♀️ that is so wonderful to observe everywhere.

This edition was certainly one of the dustiest, bumpiest and coldest I have experienced - a kind reminder that you cannot prepare enough for this desolate city with extreme climate conditions. While I genuinely missed the beating heat, I made peace and actually loved the dust.
I can never make peace with the dried up muddy bumps though - i guess i would need a flying carpet to avoid the concussions. I certainly wished for gear guards around my bike to keep my equipment safe from disappearing. The amount of things I lost while driving around this year was ridiculous.

Yes it was tough at times but hey, this is why burning man isn’t for the faint hearted and an otherworldly, fascinating place. Having dust in curious places & seriously struggeling at times is what makes this place mystical and absurd - noone is kept safe from it and a whiteout is so humbling - it brings us all onto one eye level.

The way the dust coats an art piece with apocalyptic flair and its ability to make anything disappear for a moment, the white sound it creates when muffling out art car music, its fame for getting you lost and its corrosive persistence on all things is so captivating, omnipresent and unique.
Beyond the love and hate - It is certainly the soul and charm of that desert city.

I personally enjoyed the bipolar weather and frolicked in the duststorms because I had excellent equipment & made use of it by resting more than usual - note to future newbies to be well prepared for this place cause it makes all the difference!

The Schnitzelhaus at @garbicz_festival next to the wine bar, became a maritime world. The ground floor was the underwater world, with fish swimming in between layers of fabric and tiny seagull feet poking through from above. 50 shades of blue covered the ceiling, making the whole space feel submerged. The highlight were our papier mache seagulls that were handcrafted by my talented team. Big thanks to my queen @nadjaje for the impromptu workshop. This woman always making my ideas come to life in the best ways imaginable❤️ she is an expert in modeling and making props look next level🤗
@_la_lea_ another expert designer who made exeptionally beautiful lamps and props🙏🏼 @haivandetta, vini and Samira my godchild - the other killer artists behind the seagulls, fish props and draping. You all nailed it and I was enchanted by the result❤️
The seagulls flew out from the top floor towards the pirate ship and that was so rad! It was my vision from the start but when it hits reality, it is always another level of awesomeness✨😎 taken in Garbicz Festival by @a.sensual.obsession

Pirate Playground was the theme I chose for this year’s @nomi_winebar edition at @garbicz_festival 2026.

As soon as I chose the theme, an authentic steering wheel from an old ship somehow found its way into an antique Sammelsurium shop in Kreuzberg, where I spotted it and immediately knew it had to become a centrepiece of the stage design.

That same week I drove past an old lady in Prenzlauer Berg carrying boxes full of jewellery onto the street that she wanted to get rid of — up for grabs. I had already envisioned treasure chests overflowing with coins, jewels and anything gold and shiny. I couldn’t believe the alignment.

This is why I love what I do. Life somehow carries me effortlessly into the right places to gather all the right pieces and people.

I couldn’t be happier with how the Wine Bar looked and felt this year. It was also a very emotional piece for me because so much of what you saw had a personal story attached to it — an old compass I used while tracking orangutans in Borneo in 2015, leftover coins and notes from years of travelling, old books from my home library and little treasures I had collected throughout my life.

I had been wanting to let go of many of these things, and somehow showcasing them at Garbicz felt like the perfect way to give them one more life. So there was quite literally a little piece of my soul scattered around that pirate ship.

The space invited people to play and, apparently, successfully ignited everyone’s pirate alter ego.

A lot of things were stolen. Things were moved. Things were broken. Things got wonderfully messy.

But I guess that’s what happens when you spend months manifesting a Pirate Playground and then invite thousands of pirates inside🏴‍☠️ but, despite the slight heartbreak of seeing some very personal treasures disappear, I also have to laugh at the fact that the concept maybe worked a little too well.

A huge thank you to my team and everyone who helped build this world with me. None of these visions become real without all the hands, sweat, improvisation, patience and hard work that go into bringing them to life.

The temple lounge for @ancientfuturecollective @envisionfestival. A space for workshops, powerful talks & rituals. We worked with clay, bamboo and prayer flags as the ancient part and integrated the future element by assembling metal leftover pieces, collected from the trash piles from other teams.
@nicafurtacor was the main artist for these mobile treasures.
@pierrelouisragon made the legendary multi-leveled hangout spot🙏🏼 his first time working with wood.
@randers3n was the bamboo chakana altar builder💫
@adaptogenmusic - the gentle handyman angel✨
We had many challenges along the way but it was worth all the blood, sweat and tears (literally!!!).
The last video was me walking through the flood of our space after the torrential rain the day before the festival opened it’s doors. As a stage designer you have to juggle so many, unanticipated issues and crises… always finding solutions and being open to change course.
Props to us for keeping the vibes high.

Stop & notice serendipities and give gratitude to the flow & process the camino presents ourselves with.
Trust your gut & the epiphanies that guide your way.

I am having a hard time fully enjoying life these days with all the hardships but I still have hope and love in my chest.
I try to have fun, be silly & appreciate the magic universe brings✨
Immersing myself in work & art & good company is my all-time favourite medicine and never fails to make my heart sing. Don’t forget to smell the flowers & awaken your inner wild child.

Y Muchisimas y sisimas gracias @fabula_music @lizziestrada @nicafurtacor @pierrelouisragon y @mar.decolores_ por estar presente a mi lado y con manos abiertos durante este viaje loco - you were my rocks at different times during this messy but beautiful adventure, especially when facing troubling waters and helped me tap into jaguar energy and always made me feel like home (away from home). Gracias a todos los magos y reinas con quien compartí chistes o charlas, bailes o mezcalitos, besos y/o abrazos, risas o quejas, galletas o pipas - cada momento y cada conexión lo llevo profundamente en mi corazón. You know who you are - aho y merci🙏🏼
