Pleased to share two pieces I’ve produced for the shows of @moisesnieto and @carlotabarrera at @080bcnfashion . For Moises Nieto it was a special one, the 15th anniversary of his brand. His references were classical and contemporary so I wrote a melody on guitar, blended in opera samples…and drifted the song to a desert landscape with horses. A joy to pop by the show, seeing the collection and music as one. MN, thank you for the trust on the special day. And to @olayagr for bringing us all together. For Carlota Barrera, this piece was a full immersion with her new collection, which explored themes of intimacy and exposing the unseen. I made this one very atmospheric. There are samples of Ways of Seeing by John Berger, adding to the layering and blend. I couldn’t stay in Barcelona for the show, so I watched it live at home. Last year @oliver.marson invited me to create some music together. We began with zero plans, but discovered something interesting in the sound. After six months of experimentation, coffee brews and gritty edits, we have written an EP together. The Badlands is forthcoming. Until then, here are some moments from behind the scenes. We recorded many instruments at @elmiradoor with Marco, who made an incredible space for us.
