Honestly, I was expecting to wake up today with dread. Knowing there was going to be a game of Carolina Softball, and I wasn’t going to be getting dressed out. I gave that Carolina blue my all every, single, time I stepped between the lines. It was the least I could do- it gave me my life. But instead, I woke up today feeling extremely grateful. Grateful for the experience, the friendships, an amazing coaching staff, and even the trials (and lord knows about the trials). My time at Carolina is still impacting my life. Without it, I wouldn’t be playing professional softball, one of Little Alex’s dreams. I wouldn’t be getting a kickass Masters Degree from the best university in the country. And I wouldn’t be able to look at that blue jersey hanging up on my wall, knowing I lived out one of my biggest dreams. I have no doubt in @coachsmithlyon and @uncsoftball 🩵🩵🩵 taken in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by @a__coleman__
