One year ago we trapped our long time feral kitty Lloyd. After years of feeding him, a drop trap and a dental - and now he’s such a happy boy!

One year ago today, an emaciated 5 pound senior kitty (per her chip) showed up at our door. I was grieving Tilly, but Opal showed up exactly one month after we lost her. We helped her, but she helped me more.
She’s over 8 pounds now, full of sass, and I am just so grateful she found her way to us. I’ll always wonder about her backstory, but she’s safe now. She’s home. Such a brave kitty!! 🖤🤍🖤

Thank you @_catz4life_ for helping her, and to everyone who donated to her vet bills 💜

Last week someone reached out asking if we could help with three cats- their mama is in the hospital, and they don’t know if she’s gonna get better. And even if she does…she lost her home and her job, so they wouldn’t have a place to go. Casper 17, Onyx 13, and Little Bear 6.
The thought of a 17 year old cat in a shelter broke my heart, so I headed to pick them up. It was someone’s Tilly/Zelda ❤️‍🩹

Bit of a full house at the moment! But zero regrets. They’re such sweet cats, and their whole world is upside down. I’m working with another rescue to find a long term foster and or forever homes. If we didn’t have such a big crew, I’d keep them in a heartbeat.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, but you’re waiting for the right time- please let this be your sign. Often rescues just need a place for a short time, but if you’ve got a spare room, you could save lives. Cats get so scared and withdrawn in shelters, many stop eating 💔

Please, please consider fostering. If you’re looking to adopt, please visit the shy cats. Their personality at the shelter isn’t an accurate portrayal of who they are. They just need some time to decompress, another chance to be loved.
