Анна Антонова @a_antonova начала свою художественную практику после многолетней работы в культурном менеджменте. Прошлым летом ее живопись была представлена на выставке Королевской академии художеств в Лондоне, а среди других недавних проектов художницы — групповая выставка в Париже.

Some exciting news 🥰

Blue Shop Gallery have selected me as one of the 100 artists in their 7th edition of ‘Works On Paper’.
‘Works On Paper 7’ goes live online 10th May 2025 with 100 international artists. All artworks are sent with a signed certificate of authenticity direct to collectors worldwide and bespoke framing is available to all Greater London collectors.

This year there were 10,000+ artwork submissions from 1000+ artists worldwide. The Blue Shop team have run this open call since 2020 and it’s remained FREE for all artists all over the world to enter. Stay tuned by following @blueshopgalleries 🩵 taken in London, United Kingdom by @a_antonova

Today is the first public day of the @royalacademyarts Summer Exhibition!

I’m so happy to announce that my oil painting, «Peter Doig. Hand Gesture,» is on display. The selection process was intense, starting with 16,500 initial applications, narrowed down to 4,000 shortlisted, and finally, 1,700 finalists. For the final round, the painting had to be delivered to the museum. Huge thanks to Asya @capesbachelis and Max for the VIP delivery service, and to Dina @dinamostovaya for bringing up the idea and supporting me all the way.

Thank you to all my friends who believed in me. For someone who started their art career just 3 years ago, this is HUGE.

This selected work is very meaningful to me. It’s a portrait of my favourite artist, Peter Doig, whose journey, artistic vision, and genuine imagination have deeply inspired me.

If you are in London, go see it! It’s a crazy mix of young artists like me and mega stars, including @traceyeminstudio , Georg Baselitz, and @frankbowlingstudio Bowling. As Time Out London put it, “It’s an opportunity to see your neighbour’s watercolours hung next to a Rose Wylie painting, if they pass the muster.”

I saw them taking a beach shower. A father and son. With a big fish-tailed inflatable donut. There was something so magical about this ordinary moment. I wanted to keep it.
