Euphoria: 📈📈📈

None of this would've been possible for me were it not for 4 things:
my family (including Pablo 😺) being by my side and helping me do something as simple as getting up from bed, walking like a penguin on the front porch, grabbing some food for me, taking me out for a drive, emptying my drains, and just giving me company consistently/checking to see if I needed anything
my dear dear friends who visited/checked in on me just to keep me occupied (whether over text/call/in person, y'all know who you are 🫰🏻)
movies (no duh)
most importantly, the remarkably talented and empathetic Ellie Ley with @genderconfirmationcenter for creating such a warm, open, and informative environment. I owe it all to you 🫶🏻

I won't lie, there were moments before recovery that I was scared that by getting this surgery, I would be putting myself in even more danger with the rising hate and oppression the trans community has faced. And there are still moments where I think to myself "how will I be alive for the next four years?" I also know that there are probably some people looking at this wondering "when will that happen to me?" In fact, that was me whenever I saw influencers or my fellow trans friends get the affirming care they needed. And I know how painful it can be to see others receive the care you've been fighting to get for years. And being on the other side, I can assure you of this: it WILL happen. Stay strong, my trans brothers, sisters, and nb royals 🏳️‍⚧️

I can't express the sorrow I feel in my heart right now. Now more than ever, I am filled with so much gratitude that I got to see this incredible human live in SF a year ago. Once has one of the greatest original soundtracks ever committed to film and every time I listen to the songs composed by him and Markéta as part of The Swell Season, I feel as though I get transported to another reality where I'm walking on clouds. Now when I listen to the music, I can't help but have a lingering twinge of sadness.

But I do know that we were fucking lucky to walk the Earth at the same time as this man. I'm still processing everything but I couldn't help but think it appropriate to re-post the video I took of him performing "Lies". It's lyrics have helped me through some incredibly tough times and I feel like if we use Glen's music to get us through this as well, that's just a testament to how special of a musician he really was.

Sending all the thoughts in the world to his loved ones, collaborators, and everyone whose lives he touched 🤍

Rest easy, legend 🕊️

I could ramble on and on about this show but what could I even say that hasn't been said forever already? It's peak. Chills were coursing across my body non-stop for the first 30-40 minutes of the show. I am only saddened that I only had the chance to experience this luscious and powerful show once (so far).

A truly remarkable experience in this really incredible show. This run has felt like a dream for me.

Cabaret at PSP has truly allowed me to flourish in ways I had previously thought were impossible for so long. This was my first time engaging with intimacy for a show, my first time being shirtless for a show, my first time playing an overtly queer character (who has more than one line or played as a gag), and the most emotionally vulnerable show I've done in 2 1/2 years. And that's the word that I associate most with this experience..."vulnerable"
And with that vulnerability that I felt with this marvelous group of artists, I had an undeniable joy that was ever-present even in the darker moments. It truly nourished and fed my artistic soul. Which breaks my heart that I have to leave this iridescent Klub and hang the dog collar. But as a friend of mine told me last night to console me (you know who you are 😉), this experience just affirms that I will have many more Cabarets in the future; and I just can't wait.

Until then...

"less pages, more cinema" - Oliver Laxe at the screening

One of my favorite movie-going experiences, hands down. Such an overwhelming experience that managed to weave its way into my body in such a beautiful way. Please seek this work of art out when it gets its wide release next week. Films like this just prove how stupid it is to think that AI can make stuff on the same level as endeavours of love like @sirat.film is. taken in AMC Dine-In Kabuki 8 by @a_chaotic_mortal
