For AGS, music has always been more than sound. Filipino- born and Vancouver-based, they are known for high-energy, hard-hitting sets shaped by curiosity, emotion, and the collective experience of the dancefloor. Moving fluidly through genres and driven by instinct, they approach each set like chasing a feeling, creating space to let go, move freely, and just be. The only constant is the energy.

AGS has been a rising force in Vancouver’ underground scene since 2022. They are known for curating sonic journeys across genres such as trance, budots, baile funk, hard dance, deconstructed club, and more. Their sets are high-energy, setting the tone for the night and driving the dancefloor. AGS has played alongside artists like Minna-no-kimochi, DJ Gigola, DJ Swisha, Tohji, Bambii, and Eartheater.

Watch our last Friday atrium set takes over the system with—to name just a few techniques—a barrage of kicks and pitched samples. AGS encapsulates the final flourish of an entire evening in dance music. They will keep pace with previous tempos and carry us into the early hours of the morning on Friday, October 24. by @a_g___s

[ About AGS ]

AGS started DJing in 2022 and has been a rising force in Vancouver’s underground scene since. Over time, their sound has evolved alongside their passion for music production, which they use as a way to express their sonic identity and advocate for greater representation in the industry. For AGS, music is a path to liberation, creating spaces for identities that challenge conventional labels.

When DJing, AGS approaches each set as a way to curate both sound and feeling. Drawing from diverse cultural rhythms, their performances often weave together sonic journeys across genres such as trance, deconstructed club, budots, baile funk, hard dance, and more. Their approach prioritizes fostering spaces where music becomes an invitation to feel, release, and discover. With a growing focus on music production, AGS continues to expand their sonic identity while contributing to a more diverse music scene.

Since taking part in the 2024 Electronic Music Incubator, AGS has continued to expand their artistic language in music production. We’re eager to see what comes next.

wooow, this night was epic.. so fun getting to open for trance legends (みんなのきもち) Minna-no-kimochi @wesawufo all the way from tokyo.
