Morning everyone. Rachel and I have made a monumental decision. As we’ve been working on the house, we realise that we wished we did some things differently, especially as we’re learning as we go. So we’re going to start again. We can remove windows / doors / flooring / chimney breast / stairs and keep them to go back into the new structure. We decided it was now or never, as we’re almost at the stage of adding the next floor. We want the house to be as good and as strong as possible so we feel starting again is the right thing 😃

I’m in London again. Yesterday I had a look around Covent Garden and last night I saw Paddington the Musical for the second time. It’s the most fabulous show ever 😃

It takes quite a bit of human floor space to build a mouse house 😂

Rachel ordered a new picture and, when it came, I saw that a mini print, perfect for me was included. I even have the correct size frame all ready for it 😃

We’ve started laying the wooden floor. We bought a real wood floor roll from Bromley Crafts, but it’s not quite the right length, so we are having to separate all the floorboards and lay them individually. We’ve also removed the banisters from the lower stairs because they looked a little busier and Rachel thinks it will be easier to get her human hands inside the house without them being in the way.

We are still working on the cardboard house when we get chance, but things have been pretty busy lately. The window frames are taking a lot of time to paint, but hopefully the ground floor windows will soon be fitted 😃

While at the Dolls House Fair yesterday we popped by @juliastinyweekitchen stall for some purchases. I bought one of these very tasty looking Bakewell tarts and it was delicious with a cup of tea yesterday afternoon.

Before we got the train home yesterday, we completed this Mystery Guide. We started at Tower Hill, where we had a great view of the Tower of London. We had to follow the map and solve clues along the way to solve the mystery. It was great fun and it was funny when we saw four other couples wandering around with their mystery guides 🤭 At one time, a workman even moved his barrier and pointed out the clue on the floor. He said that he’d seen plenty of people with the same book, looking for the same clue 😂 We saw some wonderful sites and hidden nooks and crannies in the city area 😃

We had a brilliant day yesterday. We checked into our hotel and then we took a walk on the Southbank of the Thames. In the evening we saw the play of Stranger Things. It’s a prequel to the TV show and it was really good. We had great seats in the fourth row and you can see from the last photo that we took our seats as soon as the auditorium opened 😃

I’m on my way to London. I love London so I’m super excited. If you swipe you’ll see that I have a whole big seat to myself. Of course I will move when the train fills up 😃

Oh my goodness, I was so surprised and happy to receive a package today from lovely Volodymyr @volodymyr.woolboon and I feel like the luckiest and happiest mouse in the world.

The rose is a @floraldecormini creation. I often admire her incredible work, but I have never owned any.

The ceramics are made by marike schenning Next to Nothing Ceramics. I’m delighted because I love her work, but she doesn’t send to the UK, so I’ve never been able to purchase any.

And the dove is just adorable.

Thank you dear Volodymyr. I feel that you know me very well ❤️ by @a_mouse_called_maude
