Endure24 Reading 2024 - solo running - completed βœ”οΈ 17 Laps - 136 Km in 23hr56min / 16th Lady out of 223. The Best bit - together with the other girls who ran it solo or as a team we raised over Β£13,000 for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, and there's more to come – incredible, so chuffed! And some trees planted (more info to follow). Thank you ever so much for your generous donations and supportive messages – they are all greatly appreciated and kept the solo runner going through the tough moments. A beautiful milestone - 2100 trees! πŸŒ³πŸ’šπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΌ Through my running, I've helped plant the equivalent of SEVEN football stadiums of trees with EarthRuns! Even more special is that my children have helped plant 800 of those trees through running and cycling - it's one of the things I LOVE doing together. I don't often take part in running races, but - I love pushing my boundaries. - I'm always curious to discover what my body, resilience and mental strength are still capable of. - AND I want to expose my twins to these experiences in the hope that they'll feel inspired, empowered and learn that they're capable of more than they might think. So occasionally I sign up for a running event, and of course, I always drag my children along! πŸ˜‚πŸ’• You see, @tashacres @earthruns_activeforearth might not consider herself an influencer, but I'd argue otherwise. Through the 1% Club and Better Medals she's given my running a completely different meaning. It's positively impacted not only my running habits but my lifestyle as a whole. And many people who've joined this movement share that same feeling. To me, that makes Tash more than just a great influencer. She's an incredible human being who inspires people to make a difference. The Great Weston Ride is fast approaching! Best of luck to all cyclists taking part πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ I'll cheer you all on..from afar this time πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I've never shared this on IG, but back in 2023 I ran the GWR (Bristol to Weston Super Mare) on a more direct (50km) route to raise funds for the fire-damaged local school. Only 2 months to prep for this one. ​Solo run, no crew, under-prepped, and lacking fuel. 3 energy bars, 1 isotonic gel and 2L water .. bonkers! πŸ˜‚ but I trusted my physical stamina and endurance mindset. ​Would I do it again? Hell YES! P.s. if you're looking for a challenging running route, swipe left!
