ZAMAN AJO, A TRADITION OF SUPPORT, COMMUNITY & LOVE ✨

In the Hausa-Fulani tradition, marriage is not only the coming together of two people; it is the coming together of families, friends, and an entire community.

For Captain Moha & Fatima, one of the most meaningful moments of their traditional celebration was Zaman Ajo. 👑🤍

During this beautiful tradition, the groom is ceremonially honoured and crowned, symbolising his new position, responsibility, and transition into married life.

Then comes the heart of the moment.

Family, friends, and loved ones gather around him, each coming forward to present a financial contribution. This is not simply a gift of money, it is a collective expression of love, support, goodwill, and responsibility.

The purpose is to give the newlywed a financial foundation as he begins this new chapter, helping him settle into his home and responsibilities without immediately having to struggle financially.

In essence, Zaman Ajo is the community saying: “You are not starting this journey alone. We are behind you.”

And that is one of the most beautiful things about our culture, the understanding that when one person begins a new chapter, the community stands with them.

This was Zaman Ajo for Captain Moha & Fatima. A moment of tradition. A moment of generosity. A moment of community. A moment worth remembering. ✨

Maryam Abba & Musa Ahmad captured in a moment of love, joy, and togetherness.
Every smile, every glance, and every frame tells a story worth remembering.

The original plan was to create traditional Kanuri-inspired portraits using a custom cultural backdrop. Unfortunately, time and event logistics made that impossible.
Instead of settling for less, we focused on delivering the vision.
From planning and shooting to professional retouching and creative post-production, every step was done with one goal:
