I DID A THING!

😭😭😭

Alot of work ahead of me but I’m proud of myself. This story mixed in more versions of itself then I can even begin to explain before it burst free and I can’t believe I finally found it after literally doing something that I HATE doing. Ugh. So crazy.

Sorry for the dramatics but this is literally something I’ve been chasing I probably have 20-30 manuscripts I couldn’t find the heart of of even after 50-80,000 words but I finally found it and I can’t wait to see where this takes me. Guilt will chew you up and spit you out.

Tamlin knows that better than anyone.
Guilt from the past.
From the present.
From everything the future threatens to become.

Still… Tamlin he can’t break the cycle that’s kept him in chains his whole life.
He can’t outrun the monster beneath his skin.

The problem?

Aro doesn’t fear monsters.
He’s drawn to them.

Something inside him answers back when they call.
Something just as dark, just as dangerous… and far less restrained then Prythians seen in ages.

So Tamlin pushes. Harder.
Sets boundaries and denys it all.

Aro however, only sees an invitation and he will not turn them down.

Love isn’t always soft.
It isn’t always safe.
Sometimes it’s sharp. Controlled. A test of who will breaks first.

Aro knows he can survive Tamlin.

The real question is:
Can Tamlin survive Aro?

Whatever the answer, fate —this time around— refuse to be ignored.

He thinks he’s in control and —to everyone else—he is.

Tamlin watches Aro like a problem to be managed. A threat to be contained. Every command, every warning, every sharp glance is meant to keep him in line… to keep chaos leashed but Aro doesn’t see restraint. He sees attention.

Undivided. Intentional. Addicting.

A word. A look. A growl in his direction. Each one feeds something dangerous, something growing sharper in the quiet moments between them because when Tamlin isn’t there, when his presence is gone, Aro’s mind fills in the gaps…and convinces him they were never meant to be apart in the first place.

Training is about to begin.

Aro has a choice to make:
Show too much—and risk being sent away.
Show too little—and become prey.

Either way, Tamlin doesn’t want him.

So Aro will have to make him, not just want but need him.

What should’ve been a simple night out turns into something else entirely, a quiet warning wrapped in politeness, tension hiding beneath every word.

Tamlin makes himself clear.

Aro just… doesn’t listen because gnoring Tamlin?
Too easy.

Pushing him?
That’s where it gets interesting.

Every glare.
Every sharp word.

Aro finally makes it to Spring… and immediately causes chaos.

Aro thought he was being heroic stepping in to “save” a massive beast from a pack of wild naga. Turns out? Not everything in Spring is what it seems… and their High Lord doesn’t appreciate Aro attempts to “help”.

What follows: bitter words, tension, and the kind of trouble only Aro can find himself in.

Aro is greated warmly by Spring. Warmer then he ever expected. Old friend introduce him to new friends and for a moment everything is looking up for the young Prince then…Aro meets Tamlin.

It goes about as badly as possible.

Tamlin’s first impression of Aro?
Pretentious. Self-absorbed. Absolute menace.

Aro’s first impression of Tamlin?
The most irresistible creature he’s ever laid eyes on.

Just like that the line between attraction and obsession starts to blur.

This chapter marks the beginning of something volatile, messy, and dangerously consuming.

Nothing like accidentally making enemies out of your closest allies.

Aro is known across all of Prythian, welcomed (mostly) in every Court, walking the line between power, diplomacy, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. He favors Velaris. The Day Court feels like a second home.

But friendships with High Lords?
They come with… complications.

This chapter leans into that tension, the good, the bad, and the ridiculously dramatic.

Because when it comes to mates?

Logic disappears.
Reason takes a backseat.
Suddenly, a harmless situation turns into a full-scale “attack first, ask questions never” moment.

No real threat.
Just instinct. Possession. Protection.

And Aro?
Caught right in the middle of it. Outnumbered, unimpressed, and of course, refusing to even reach for his magic just to prove a point.

Some battles aren’t about winning.

Some are just about surviving your friends.

A quick note on canon, choices, and the story I’m building:

I won’t be rewriting the rules of Cauldron-made bonds. In this story, fate exists and often get the final say. There are SO many examples of poorly mated pairs but fate is fate.

In my version Elain’s path did follow the expectation of mates. She was eventually rejected by Azriel and instead of breaking, she chose to MOVE ON.

Eventually she found her way to the Day Court, to Lucien.
To something that wasn’t instant, wasn’t easy but was built between two kind hearted people who where fated and gave forgiveness a chance.

Lucien at this point has stepped fully into his legacy, embracing the truth of his bloodline and rising as the sole heir to the Day Court with Elain at his side.

Together they’ve produced 10 children.
A legacy of light, laughter, and family.
Twin girls leading the charge and one long-awaited son, their youngest, destined to inherit it all.

This isn’t a story about their fated love but it felt impossible to skip over them.
