The conversations at The Male Factor were honest, vulnerable, and transformative.

Black men came together to break the silence around male factor infertility, sharing deeply personal stories of diagnosis, acceptance, grief, resilience, and hope.

Together, we explored the many pathways to fatherhood—including IVF, embryo donation, and adoption—and acknowledged that there is no one “right” way to build a family.

We also created space to talk about pregnancy loss and the lasting impact of grief, recognizing that these experiences affect fathers too and deserve to be seen, heard, and honored.

What made this gathering so powerful wasn’t just the stories shared—it was the community that formed. Men left feeling less alone, more informed, and empowered to take the next step in their fertility and family-building journeys.

This is what Fertility Justice looks like: creating spaces where Black men can speak openly, heal collectively, and reclaim their reproductive futures.

Thank you to every panelist, storyteller, and participant who made this conversation possible. Your courage is changing the narrative for generations to come.

Infertility isn’t just a women’s issue. Black Men are often left out of the infertility conversations, although they also play a critical role in family building from conception to birth.

The Male Factor is a dedicated space within Black (in)Fertility Awareness Week (BIAW) created for Black men to openly explore, discuss, and reclaim their experiences with infertility and family building.

This year, we’re creating room for Black men to share their journeys, unpack stigma, and engage in conversations around male factor infertility, emotional wellness, partnerships, and alternative pathways to parenthood. Whether navigating diagnosis, supporting a partner, or exploring options like IVF, sperm health, or alternative family-building pathways, participants are invited to show up fully and authentically.

Too often, conversations around fertility center women, leaving men unseen, unheard, and unsupported. This event intentionally shifts that narrative.

Bloomfield, CT gets recognized heavy for athletes, but not enough for the people making moves in other lanes. @thejjwhite3 pushed back and said that’s not the full story.

Truth is… both sides might have a point. Maybe it’s not about what’s missing, but what we choose to highlight. Either way, I’m big on showing love to all success coming out of the town—business, education, trades, everything.
