I get why people think I’m always on holiday.

Living in Thailand looks like endless beaches, road trips, sunsets, and adventures. And yes, those moments are part of my life. But most weekdays look much like anywhere else in the world: I work full-time as a primary school teacher, walk the dogs, cook or eat out, watch Netflix, and get ready to do it all again the next day.

The weekends are when we explore, take short trips, and enjoy everything this beautiful country has to offer.

Do I miss my family? Every day. Sometimes I even miss the Netherlands more than I expected. But I also love the life we’ve built here—the freedom, the slower pace, and the feeling of living comfortably.

It’s not a permanent holiday. It’s simply home.

What’s one thing people often assume about your life that isn’t actually true?

Jungle nights just hit different at Oasis!🌴✨🦜

Hornbills making guest appearances, the jungle providing the playlist, cocktails flowing and food worth staying up for. 🍹🌿🌙

A little wild, a little magical, and a whole lot of tropical paradise. 💚
