“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
— Carl Jung

We spend our childhood learning the language of those who raised us.
Their anger becomes our silence.
Their voices become the voice inside our head.

We grow up and leave the house—
but the house doesn’t always leave us.

Perhaps trauma is simply a past that learned to disguise itself as the present.

And maybe healing isn’t forgetting the noise.
It’s realizing the noise is no longer yours.

You simply stop answering.

Special thanks to @lil.tchubi for the inspiration and for the music that helped bring this story

Maybe I don’t miss the old days…
I miss who I was when they happened.

Some memories still feel like home. 🖤
