All the goodies I brought back from @traderjoes while visiting New York 🍎💛

This was honestly such a fun experience to walk around the store looking at all the different flavours of things they have here and reading their packaging labels! I was pleasantly surprised and equally flabbergasted at some of the items they sell here in the US👀 (cue: frozen kimbap, their crisp and dip aisles and oh, PUMPKIN)

Anyway, what do you think of my selection? Anything I missed out on? Do we also want a taste test?🤭

I went to the launch of Auntea Jenny’s new site and here’s what I thought🤭

I got a Strawberry Jasmine Milk tea daifuku🍓 This was my fav! I really liked the fresh strawbs and the slightly yoghurt taste it had, it reminded me of Petits filous in the best way🥹

Also tried a mango pomelo sago🥭 This was delish too, and had the chewy sago which I was a big fan of🧋

They’re open as of THIS weekend (!!!!) and if you go between today and Sunday, you get BOGO on all their drinks as well as special goodies👀✨ (did you get a glimpse of that cute pin?🤭)

Come with me on a lovely bakery crawl with @savoursnapshare while we visit some of my favourite bakeries🤭🥐🧈 (Aka the only reason I’m trekking to Battersea on a Sunday morning)

We started our morning off at @august.bakery_ They do all your classics but just well elevated. Their bakes scream quality and I’m so here for it! Tried the cinnamon bun this time which was very soft and fluffy and well balanced. I’ve gotten a PAC before too and that is also VERY delicious!🍫

Second stop on the list was @k_a_p_i_h_a_n they’re a cute Filipino bakery serving insanely yummy drinks and bakes! I tried the Iced Kalamansi- yum! and a pandesal (which is kinda like a bread roll) filled with malted milk creme- double yum!!🤤

Lastly, we arrived at @mahaliandco Now I will be honest I am very loyal to my spring onion and chive scroll here but I was tempted this time by a Thai milk tea pain suisse. HOWEVER it was sold out unfortunately so guess my loyalty stands haha! This is legit one of my top 3 pastries ever and one I will never shut up about🙂‍↕️

Overall, flaky pastries + great company = successful weekend☀️🥰

Especially if it’s this gorgeous number from @fikasussex 😍🥪

This was their Hide & Squeak, ft a signature filthy fried egg, grilled halloumi, smashed avo, harissa aioli and pickles 🥒🤭 basically all my favourite things in a sandwich!!!!

I took it to the beach and this was absolutely divine! Do yourself a favour next time you’re in Brighton/ Hove and get one (I went to the one in Hove but they have a site in Brighton too)⛱️☀️🩵

Strawberry and elderflower cake🍓🌼

Made this cake with a classic vanilla sponge brushed with an elderflower syrup, filled with elderflower buttercream and strawberry jam and topped with a vanilla mascarpone cream frosting🍰

Somewhat inspired from my favourite cake, a Victoria sponge🩷

Went to the cutest lil pop up by @thesnackist.london and my god, this was YUM!😍

I tried a Torija, which is a Spanish style French toast and was instantly in love! It’s a super custardy toast, and not eggy at alllllll. It then gets torched, twice, to give it this crunchy top which makes the whole experience even better somehow🤤🥰

I even got an Eton mess roll, which was filled with a creme diplomat, raspberry coulis and lime meringues🍋‍🟩 Not too sweet, very fresh and well balanced!

They’re popping up this weekend at the Lower Stable Street market in Kings cross- check them out!✨

July’s been a huge foodie month for me🥰 Here are some of my favourites🦋💛🌶️🥝

1. Went to @riseandfold and this salt bread is to DIE for! So fresh, buttery, and I love the crackly exterior + the super soft interior!🤤

2. This gorgeous slice from @original_vincenzos_pizza it was NY vodka and one of my favourite slices in the city🍕

3. Made these stunning cilbir inspired eggs (I do soft boiled eggs instead of poached) and with lots of Aleppo pepper butter and crusty bread🌶️

4. I’ve had some of the best peaches this month? Look at how giant this is from @sainsburys and SO TASTY🍑

5. Picky bits from @marksandspencerfood and this strawberry kiwi and apple jelly bottom has my whole heart!!!! It has elderflower jelly at the bottom and I’m just obsessed🍓🥝

6. This is probably the best choc chip cookie I’ve had in a VERY VERY long time from @mayasbakehouse the melty choc, the crispy edges, the chew, the texture???? 13/10 need to go back immediately 🍪

7. Made a courgette, pea and lemon pasta, this was so fresh and comforting🍋

8. Everything from @lilwongbakes I loved the birthday cake and the mango coconut sago so much! Pandan is such a delicate flavour and Sam does it best💚

9. Finally checked out @theospizzeria and this is easily a top 5 tiramisu for me! I wish it had a touch more coffee but can’t fault it otherwise😮‍💨🤎

10. Made peach granola with those gorgeous 🍑 over @fage_uk yog and pistachios for brekkie!

11. @myka_greek.uk i can’t begin to tell you how good this combination is! I got the natural yog with mykataifi and choc crunch which are both sweet and go SO WELL with the tart yog🤤🩷

12. Made a pecorino dip with roasted tomatoes for my focaccia and this was insanely easy and so so good🍅

13. I can’t believe I’ve never been to @wahaca but I was actually quite pleasantly surprised? The corn and potato esquites were very yum! And so was the taquito tbh🤭

14. This gorgeous sandwich I made and took to the beach! Had to fight some seagulls but worth it😛

15. I tried torijas at @thesnackist.london bakery pop up and this was absolutely insane!!! Can’t wait to go back again🥰

If there’s one thing you need to know about me is that I LOOOOOOVE froyo! (And just yoghurt in general)🥰🥰

So when I saw we now have our very own @myka_greek.uk in London, I simply HAD to be there! Ngl, there was a bit of queue but it moved fast and it was simply worth the wait! I would’ve queued longer lol😂

I went for the OG yoghurt with mykataifi and praline crunch bc your gal loves ✨crunch✨ and strawberries for some freshness🍓 This was 10/10 I have absolutely no notes and I think this combo is goated! The yog is perfectly tangy and it balances the sweet toppings so so well I could inhale about 19 of them! I would be very broke considering these are £9.50 a pop but imo, worth it🙈🤭

My favourite way of cooking is by finding a particular ingredient and then making a whole meal around it! For example, this meal was born as a means to use this lovely chive and spring onion @ripecheese I found at Herne bay market!🧀 Alongside some jammy leeks, and @boldbeanco as always☺️

My first time making blondies and these raspberry white choc ones did not disappoint 😍

I used @cookiedoughdiaries recipe and swirled some fresh raspberry jam on top before baking! So easy i definitely recommend🩷
