I’ve heard so many people say they love doing mousse before gel so I’ve been playing around with that technique for a few wash days, and what I’ve learned so far is:

- the volume is IMMACULATE 🤌🏼
- the curls are softer & less defined
- the definition only lasts for a few days imo (I’ve tried different combos, and my curls tend to fall flat faster than when I usually do gel first)
- it’s harder to get a cast (I’m not sure if it’s just me, but when I do mousse first, I somewhat get a cast but it’s a lot softer)

I’m curious to know whether you prefer mousse before gel or gel before mousse!
