Is It Just Me Or … ?

The deafening silence of my four walls
I sit here with my tea…
Once steaming, now had gone tepid
Or is it my veins that now run cold, is it just me?

Words rake through my mind
While none escape my lips
Tears blur my vision
Do I let them fall or yield to my own treason?

I sit here, all by myself
Still in denial, refusing help
Will this cycle ever end?
Or did I lose myself, my one true friend?

I close my eyes to escape reality
Maybe distract myself, turn on the TV
Maybe shut the lights, in the darkness I drown
Unsure I’m wearing a smile or a frown

This is a feeling I’ve felt before
The intensity, sometimes less, but today- more
The crushing silence begs the question:
Is it just me or …?

Do you even realize
You drown in your own sorrows?

“Where the Weeping Echoes”

Maybe I don’t deserve my life here
A shelter of four walls, almost the same
Do I even have the right to call it unfair?
Unfortunately, I do not know, what a shame

The ceiling keeps rising far above reach
No matter how far I try and go
My spirits still feel shorthanded

Leaving me to drown in my own frown, weeps and ego
Making the four walls a chamber where weepings echo
