🌺 🐚❤️‍🔥// I can’t keep the secret any longer!!!! I’m beyond honored to finally announce my collaboration with @dior on the 10th edition of Lady Dior Art — a project I’ve had the immense pleasure of working on over the past two years.

In this collaboration, two visions from my practice come alive within the legacy of the iconic Lady Dior bag:
✨ A seashell from Failaka Island — carrying the memory of my land,
🌸 And the Humaith Spring Flower — blooming with spirit and rebirth.

This has been one of the most meaningful highlights of my career so far, and I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible Dior team who brought this dream into being.

A special thank you to @oceane.sailly @hunna.art , whose support made this journey unforgettable, to @wissamharizi for making it all possible, and to the incredible team and artisans of @dior who brought my vision to life.

This painting is part of an ongoing series of embraces that I’ll continue exploring for a little while. It began this past month to honor my precious, dear uncle, الله يرحمه, and to give form to a radical collective and familial love I had never experienced at such depth before. This love is unconditional; it spills into the lives of everyone I hold dear.

A love that pierces through pain, yet holds it tenderly, transforming it into a love that spreads everywhere. My uncle’s love washes over us every day, and I will carry it within me forever.

Alymamah Rashed is a Kuwaiti visual artist whose practice is rooted in spiritualism and an ongoing exploration of the body. Her work considers how the body inhabits its surroundings and how it can carry different versions of itself across past, present, and future.

Drawing from Kuwait’s landscapes, regional folklore, everyday objects, and natural materials, Rashed brings seashells, botanical forms, sand, rocks, and other fragments of the landscape into her work. Her figures multiply, transform, and merge with their surroundings, becoming part of imagined worlds shaped by memory, mythology, and place.

Her practice moves between the personal and the spiritual, drawing from Islamic symbolism, regional histories, and her experiences between East and West. Through fluid figures, eyes, natural forms, and dreamlike landscapes, Rashed explores identity, femininity, memory, transformation, and the connection between the body, spirit, and the land. @aacanvas
