POSTS STORIES REELS

This page is rooted in murder mysteries, serial crime and psychological crime fiction, where homicide and investigation shape every story and every criminal mind carries obsession, guilt, and darkness. Violence is never decorative, murder is never meaningless and the forensic atmosphere lingers long after the act. Each narrative traces the motives, memories and consequences that define human nature, exploring the minds of those driven by secrets, compulsion and obsession.

Within these stories exists a form of dark romance—not fantasy, not softness, but intimacy tangled with violent intimacy, fear, control, trauma and emotional damage. Love appears alongside murder, not as relief from it, but as something equally dangerous. Relationships are obsessive, morally compromised and shaped by power, secrecy and psychological tension rather than desire alone.

My work leans into noir atmospheres, crime psychology, literary darkness and sensory prose, focusing on aftermaths instead of spectacle. It explores morally grey characters, twisted attachments, disturbing intimacy and the quiet horror that lingers long after blood is cleaned and names are spoken. Every story is driven by the obsession, compulsion, and inner darkness of human minds.

This space is for readers drawn to dark academia energy, noir fiction, murder mysteries, crime psychology, unsettling narratives, slow-burn darkness, emotional depth, serial crime, forensic atmosphere, criminal minds, violent intimacy, obsession and stories that do not offer comfort, only honesty.

If you’re looking for softness, this isn’t it.

But if you’re looking for truth in murder, homicide, obsession, investigation, violence and everything left unsaid, you’re already home.

Since many new readers and writers have joined since I last introduced myself, I thought it was time for a proper introduction. Hello, welcome, and I’m so glad you’re here! If you’re new, I call my readers Lilies, and if you’re reading this, congratulations, you’re one of them 🤭🌸

I’m Aaditi Raj, an 18 year old writer (turning 19 in Feb 2026) writing murder mystery, crime fiction, psychological thriller, and slow-burn romance. My stories explore emotional crime, quiet obsession, complicated love, guilt, control, morally grey emotions, and haunted characters through literary crime fiction and poetic storytelling.

My debut, 'Pieces of Obsession', is a psychological crime novel rooted in character-driven narratives and the unsettling idea that too much love can turn dangerous.

Some of you may know me from my short story reels. I love writing them because not every emotion wants a full-length novel. These are story trauma dumps which is brief with intense moments that linger. I’m so grateful that you love them as much as I do.

Alongside dark fiction, I write romance that is soft, emotionally intimate, stories with slow burns, rivals-to-lovers tension, academic settings, and relationships shaped by silence and longing. I’m drawn to emotionally complex characters, unspoken feelings, and stories that live between tenderness and darkness.

If you’re into murder mysteries, psychological thrillers, literary crime, romance with depth, debut authors, young writers, or Indian authors writing dark fiction and romance, you’re in the right place.

To all my Lilies, thank you for being here, for reading, for staying. This page is for readers who love poetic mysteries, slow burns, romance, and emotionally layered characters. Welcome, this is where my work begins🫶🏻

This is the kind of writing I do, and this is the aesthetic of this account👀
Psychological stories, slow narratives and thoughts that sit with you for a while.
There’s darkness here, but there’s also poetry, restraint and sometimes romance just not the obvious kind.
I care more about patterns, behaviour and what’s left unsaid than dramatic moments.
Nothing is rushed, and nothing is written just to be loud!!
This is what I serve here 🍽️

Har us theory ko sach maan loon, jo kahe tum laut aaoge,
Har us khwaab ko dil mein rakh loon, jo kahe tum mil jaaoge.
Bas ab toh meri har dua mein ek hi iltija rahe,
Jis bhi mod pe kismat le jaaye, woh mod tum tak jaaye.

(Let every theory be true if it says you’ll come back to me,
Let every dream come alive if it means we’re meant to be.
May every prayer I whisper lead me back to you,
And may every road I take bring me closer to you.)

I think sometimes you can understand a character better through a song than through a paragraph of description.

So, I'm taking part in #CherieLit and OMG, @augustdaisyy, this is beyond incredible. I think so many of us wanted something like this back, so thank you so much for taking the initiative and bringing that feeling back🥹

So here is a little introduction to the characters of my project, My Friend Emma.

Emma, who is probably the person you should be most suspicious of.
Julian, who looks absolutely charming but carries guilt, grief, and things he would rather keep buried.
Clara, who is basically trapped between these two. She is anxious, constantly questioning her life decisions, and somehow still says yes to most of the questionable things Emma and Julian drag her into.

My Friend Emma is a story about friendship, secrets, grief, missing people, and the things we don't always understand about the people closest to us.

If you made it this far, tell me which character would you want to know more about? 👀

And to everyone participating in CherieLit, I'm so excited to discover your stories too. I love you all😋💗

At this point, Emma is less of a character and more of an entire aesthetic.

Lana Del Rey playing in the background. Dark coffee at midnight. Dark academia books filled with highlighted pages. Black cats, pointed boots, dark red outfits, dark roses, and enough savage one liners to keep everyone on their toes.

Basically, if something looks like it belongs on a rainy day Pinterest board, there's a good chance it'll remind me of Emma. And tbh, it should remind you of Emma too.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this. I had way too much fun putting these slides together. And yes, I'm sorry for posting this late... again😭✋🏻

This is the Friend Emma version of the “and for the lady, perhaps” trend, where found family replaces blood ties, strange events feel ordinary, and every mystery inside the university feels like it was waiting to be uncovered.

Ik I'm late late again for this one😭✋🏻

“Are they lovers?”
WORSE. They understand each other.

Emma, who thinks loving people is the same as losing them.

Julian who learned very early that nothing stays long enough to belong to him.

Somehow they become inseparable anyway<3

if you love:
✦ emotionally damaged characters
✦ unhealthy attachment disguised as comfort
✦ “I don’t need anyone” characters falling apart
✦ silent obsession
✦ tension that feels suffocating
✦ people who understand each other too much
✦ love that feels inevitable and dangerous
✦ slow burn with psychological tension
✦ characters who were doomed from the start
✦ friendships that blur into something worse
✦ “you’re the only person who sees me” energy
✦ heartbreaking inner monologues
✦ tragic character dynamics
✦ books that emotionally ruin you

Then My Friend Emma might be for you.

✨To whoever created this slide format originally, thank you genuinely. i just need you to know i owe you my life because the way these slides turned out??? INSANE✨

Ik I'm late for this one😭✋🏻
