So story time… back in 2006, when I was 12 years old, my entire family and I met Trey Songz at a gas station in Virginia. To this day, I’ve never forgotten how kind he was — not just to me, but to my whole family. He stood out there signing things for all of us, taking his time, showing genuine love when he easily could’ve said he had to go and kept it moving lol.

Ever since that day, I always hoped I’d get the chance to tell him in person how much that moment meant to me. And almost 20 years later, we finally had that conversation. Being able to thank him face to face, and seeing how much hearing that meant to him, was a full-circle moment I’ll carry with me forever.

There’s a quote by Maya Angelou I always come back to: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” And that’s always stuck with me.

People can say whatever they want about Trey Songz but I’ll always remember the kindness this man showed a 12-year-old kid and his family and that kind of love stays with you.

Thank you for the memories, and thank you for all the music. If our paths never cross again, just know I’m beyond grateful for this moment and the perfect full-circle ending that I could’ve asked for. Love and respect always ❤️🫡 @treysongz taken in The Anthem by @aairenix

Everyone who’s ever known me knows how much this moment meant to me. 🥹❤️

After all these years of growing up with her through my teenaged years, learning her choreography, attending all her tours, and editing videos to her music, I finally got to introduce myself and it was so hard for not to cry. 😭

I almost thought this moment wouldn’t happen today but it’s times like this, I know God truly favors me and I can’t be any more grateful. 😭

In 2007, I went to my first concert because of her and now 17 years later I got to meet her in the same building. This is such a full circle moment and I couldn’t think of a better way to end my summer. ❤️

Always remember who you are. 👑

Since I was born, circumstances and people have always tried to dim my light, tell me to be less this or more of that and I had to remind myself this week of my strength to say 🖕🏾 that.

I’ve been through a lot that most people could never overcome and I’m proud of that so as I reflect today, I don’t need anyone’s approval, applause or recognition, because I can acknowledge myself.

I may not be what was expected of me but I’m proud of who I’ve become and no one or nothing will ever remove the crown from my head. 👑

This wasn’t my birthday but I sure made it seem like it lol 😂

This was my grandparents anniversary party that I ended up crashing. No kids were supposed to be there I think but I ended up coming downstairs anyway 😂

My assumption is that I heard @officialtlc @therealchilli @therealtboz playing and I ran downstairs to dance because I always danced whenever their songs came on the radio 😂

Eventually they changed me out of my pajamas and got me dressed up to join in on all the fun and I continued being the life of the party once I got back down stairs 😂

I’d give anything to go back home to how things used to be but there’s no home without the people there who made it special.

Despite that, this night is a reminder of my rebellious spirit that I hope I never lose. ❤️ #octobersveryown♎️ by @aairenix

I think this was was 8th birthday.

My grandmother and her friend Lilian took me, my cousins and I think some of Lilian’s nephews to St. Clements Island and I had the best day ever.

I went to bed that night so happy and I wanted to go back ever since but never got the chance to. 💔

I’ll never forget however, that as I went to bed that night, a drunk driver crashed into our backyard, destroying it, and it sadly wasn’t the last time that happened…😣but even that could never take away the joy I had that day. #octobersveryown♎️ #memories taken in St. Clements Island by @aairenix

When I found out @kidcudi was having a concert directly on my birthday, I made the spontaneous decision to travel to Boston.

I remember my grandmother was so mad at me for doing this lol and we got into argument before I left so I that was one of the few birthdays I ignored her calls afterwards, but even when we’d disagree she’d still call to say she loved me, even if the only option was through voicemail. ❤️

Despite that, what was so special about this trip was that I got to meet @mrloveballad for the first time after years of friendship online and we became so close that I refuse to call him any thing other than my brother. What they say about Libra and Gemini friendships is real lol and we are living proof!

When we got back to where I was staying I remember we walked into this bar there where it was full of white people playing horrible live music and we both immediately turned around and said “Nah.” 😂

We’ve always understood each other without ever having to say a word throughout the years maintaining a low maintenance bond that I’m grateful for every day. 🦁🐺

During my own personal adventure around Boston, I fell in love with it so much that I said I’d come back and though that still hasn’t happened yet, I know one day it will and bro is definitely gonna hold me to it lol 💙
