After having intense spinal surgery back in June, I know I was ready to get out into the wild again and see how hiking felt. It was hard to know going into Banff what I would be able to handle especially in the winter, but I think Johnston Canyon was the perfect place to start!! This short hike was very easy and enjoyable. Some slight inclines at times, but nothing my spikes and body couldn’t handle. We didn’t hike to the upper falls, but the lower falls didn’t fall short. 😉 Just being encased in the trees listening to the water was a beautiful experience. I also didn’t mind having the place to ourselves!! We did pass by a few other people, but nothing like I’ve read the high season traffic to be. If you’re ever headed to Banff National Park, this is an awesome place to visit for a short pretty hike no matter what season it is 🏞️ #banffnationalpark #banffnationalpark🇨🇦 #johnstoncanyon #johnstoncanyonfalls #winterhikes by @aalexmoss
