september is NICU awareness month, and these photos tell a little piece of our story. 🤍

from meeting our tiny boy in the NICU, to long hospital days, coffee-fueled nights, reading by his bedside, learning to pump, celebrating every drop of milk and every tiny milestone, and trying to find pieces of myself in the middle of it all.

this is a side of motherhood I never knew existed. it has not been easy, but it has shown me a strength, love, and faith I did not know I had.

our baby celebration looked a little different than we ever imagined. 🩵

this day was originally planned as our baby shower, but our sweet boy decided to come much earlier than expected. with him in the NICU, mom guilt has been so hard. every time I leave the hospital; even to shower, run my business, or take care of something that needs to be done, I feel like I should be with him.

but im learning that taking care of myself and continuing to work doesnt make me any less of a mom. im doing all of it so I can be the healthiest, strongest mama I can be for my son. 🤍

this was such an emotional but beautiful celebration, and im beyond thankful for everyone who came to love on our boy, pray for him, and spoil him already. he is so incredibly loved.

looking back at our journey to pheifer has reminded me just how amazing God is. sometimes its so hard to see His plan through the hardest seasons, but looking back, I can see His hand in so much of our story.

and our two angel babies were remembered so beautifully through two monarch butterflies. 🦋🦋 they reminded me that I will always be a mom of three. I know they met their baby brother before God blessed us with pheifer, and one day we will tell him all about his angel siblings, celebrate their birthdays, and make sure he knows how loved they are.

to our strong NICU boy: mom and dad are working so hard to give you the best life possible. even when we arent physically beside your NICU bed, we are always near, always praying, and always loving you.

I am so proud to be your mama, and I promise I will be strong for you. 🩵

a little life update from my new home for the time being… 🤍🏥

what I thought would be a temporary hospital stay has turned into staying here until our sweet baby boy decides it is time to meet us. 🩵

I will be honest, this is not how I pictured these weeks looking. I had plans, work, weddings, a storefront, a million little things I thought I needed to accomplish before he arrived. but God has a way of reminding us that His plans are so much bigger than ours.

so for now, im learning to slow down. to rest. to trust. to surrender the things I cannot control and be grateful for the things I can; another day with my baby boy growing safely, another day to pray over him, another day to feel his little kicks, and another day to trust that God is holding us both. 🤍

im still working from these hospital walls when I have the energy, still dreaming about the businesses and the future, and still doing my best to keep things moving behind the scenes. but more than anything, im trying to soak in this season and remind myself that I dont have to have everything figured out.

there are moments im scared. moments im frustrated. moments I wonder why this is happening this way. but even in those moments, I know God is here.

He has our baby. He has my health. He has our future. He has every dream i have placed in His hands. ✝️

so we are taking it one day at a time, one prayer at a time, one little kick at a time. 🩵

cozy coffee shops, shopping for our baby boy, soaking up every minute together, and yes… we definitely needed help figuring out the car seats. 😂
