Today is a very special day for Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter. Today is our Charter Anniversary, celebrating 6 years of sisterhood and service! On our Charter Anniversary, it is with great pleasure and excitement to announce that on December 7, 2025, we welcomed our newest members to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®!
Our chapter has become even more radiant with the addition of these 12 amazing women, a beautiful FIRST for our chapter! We are thrilled for the beginning of a lifetime of sisterhood, scholarship, and service together. Please join us in welcoming our newest members!

Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter had a wonderful experience and represented at the F.I.R.S.T. North Atlantic Region Cluster I Conference at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. We learned so much about heart health and all the wonderful outcomes and impact from our 2024 program year and started planning for all the wonderful service and sisterhood opportunities to participate in for program year 2025. We are so proud to be the First four letter chapter in our fabulous region. There was power, purpose and plenty of pink at our Cycle Confidence Period Pack Party at Sonia Sotomayor Middle School 💗

Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® spent the day with 28 amazing middle school girls for real conversations about periods, body changes, hormones, self care, preparation and confidence.

With support from a physician who is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, chapter members and volunteers, the girls learned there is power in understanding their bodies and no shame in asking questions.

Each student created her own personalized period pack filled with pads, heating pads, pimple patches, candy and other essentials to help her feel prepared and supported at school.

Thank you to the Prince George’s County National Pan-Hellenic Council, our volunteers and community members whose generous donations helped support the girls and stock the school’s girls pantry with menstrual and self care products.
