Respect! Board members, supervisors, managers, and chiefs need to show more respect to the unionized workers. A person in a leadership role should not be mocking or dismissing the union and the union contract. We are serious. Our contract is serious. Because our lives are serious. Any confusion or misunderstandings about the union and our actions needs to be met with more meaningful questions. Those who are skeptical about union actions that escalate need to ask themselves why did you let it escalate? We are forced to negotiate for livable wages and protection from harassment and discrimination! Compensation and protection are not luxuries! Stop delaying our access to basic needs. Give the Pratt workers what they need - minimum of 5 staff members on shift with security. No more retaliations against people who shine a light on a problem.

Another public comment made by a Enoch Pratt employee. They need and deserve a minimum of 5 staff members, with a security guard, at their various branch locations. When a staff member highlights a safety issue, they should not be faced with any retaliation nor should they face any discipline. Support the Pratt workers now. Provide the necessary resources.

Have you met Lindy? She is a steward and a part-time Info worker at MTR. She is also a grad student, so her days can get busy! But, she is still an active member of our union.
