Seeing this vision of creating our Proboscis Monkey donning a traditional Lion Head come to life is truly the bestest feeling in the world!

Based on our 2D poster, this is Adam's (@sangtukang) interpretation of our Proboscis Monkey in 3D form, and then printed this using a 3D printer, which took a whopping 84 hours and 57 minutes to complete (not including the time it took for prototyping and troubleshooting print errors)! Once done, Aaron (@aaroink) took over and handpainted it with acrylic paint, carefully capturing the essence and details of the Proboscis Monkey and Lion Head.

This 23cm tall figurine will be on display at JAM's booth this weekend! Come check it out!

Another flourish practice piece in gold. Always loved gold on black. Making it happen by holding a pen of some sort on a daily basis. I admit as a Graphic Designer, the visual process is much faster with computers and gadgets but nothing beats the satisfaction of a completed handmade/drawn/written piece.

Something that I'm challenging myself to learn this season: flourishing. I've done a buttload of calligraphy videos for @saltxpaper over the past month (check out their Reels) and it has definitely rekindled my love for handwriting and calligraphy.

Flourishes and filigrees. How I've missed you! Yesterday's calligraphy practice somehow led to this. My wrists are a bit stiff but with practice, I'm sure those delicious smooth lines will come running back to me in no time 😁

Bougainvillea watercolour studies done! Growing up, my mom had tonnes of Bougainvilleas in our garden. Its always blooming and it's always filled the garden with vibrant splashes of colour. Painting this was quite fun too as I tried to replicate the translucency of the petals

Orchid watercolour studies done! Absolutely love the vibrant colours on this. Used Holbein's W170 Bright Rose to get that rich fuschia hue as a base. Will definitely want to paint more orchids when I'm done with the other flowers in the list.
