Let me tell you a little bit about my girl. ❤️ @rh_designcollective

Last night, at the 2026 GRO Parade of Homes awards dinner, my gorgeous wife, Renée, and our very close friend, Niall Glavin, owner of Glavin Custom Homes LLC @glavinhomes, swept the People’s Choice Excellence in Show awards, winning all nine categories. That’s an incredible accomplishment, especially competing against a field of some of the best luxury home builders in Southwest Washington.

I know I keep telling you this, but I’m going to say it again. I am so incredibly proud of you, sweetie.

I had the privilege of watching firsthand just how much of your heart and soul you poured into The Copper Hearth. From the initial design and countless appointments to the collaboration, finishing touches, and even staging the home, you were invested in every detail. There were countless early mornings, long days, and late nights bringing this home to life which you did do beautifully.

And somehow, through it all, you continued to juggle other design projects while still showing up for our family every. single. day. I honestly don’t know how you do it, but I’m in awe of the way you do it all with so much passion, grace, and dedication.

Sweetie, we love you, we adore you, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. Your work ethic, your creativity, and the heart you put into everything you do are something so special. People get to see the beautiful home you created, but I get to see the incredible woman behind it every day.

Congratulations, love. You’ve earned every bit of this moment, and I hope you take a minute to soak it all in. You deserve it. ❤️ by @aaron.hicks83

How did we get here, Kiddo? Senior Sunday, already. It just feels like yesterday you were starting your first day of Kindergarten and losing your first tooth soon after.

We couldn’t be more proud of you, Sweet Pea. Being your dad is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and no matter how old you get you’ll always be my little girl.

On Friday, October 3rd, we lost an incredible man — Matt Arnold. Matt was one of my lifelong best friends. He and his wife, Tiffany, were in a tragic single-car accident just about a mile from their home in Woodland, WA.

Matt loved his family more than anything. He was a devoted husband to Tiffany and a proud, loving dad to his two beautiful girls, Laiklyn and Adilynn. Matty had a heart of gold, always brought positivity wherever he went, and made a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know him.
