For me, this was a rare, awkward, challenging, and surprisingly meaningful experience. I grew up around Amish communities and had family friendships. I thought I knew what I was getting into… and then I didn’t.

I went in looking for more depth and to be a better listener, and the experience stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.

Well… that’s a wrap. The season finale of Suddenly Amish aired tonight.

What a wild journey this has been. I’m grateful for every person who watched, supported, laughed, questioned things, and followed along with the experience.

Stepping into this was one of the most unique things I’ve ever done. It challenged me, stretched me, and gave me a lot to reflect on about life, simplicity, faith, connection, and what really matters.

And as you saw… I ultimately chose not to stay.

There’s a lot behind that decision that you didn’t see on TV.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to start sharing some of the raw behind-the-scenes moments, things that never made it to the screen, and some of the deeper parts of the experience that shaped my decision.

If you’re curious about what really happened stay tuned. The next video will dive into the first moment where I realized this journey might change me more than I expected.

Stay grounded. 🌱

I wear a lot of hats.

Teacher, Actor, advocate.

Took some risks this year. Some worked. Some didn’t. Some are still playing out.

But I’m learning that’s part of the journey — the good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly.

Keep moving. Keep creating. Stay grounded. 🤠

Had some fun creating, some pictures for future projects.. more soon😛

Man Crush Monday: SHERIFF BRADLEY MANNING

I get questions that are impossible to answer like . . .
"What's your favorite book you wrote?"
"Who's your favorite character?"
"Do you narrate your audiobooks?"

The first two are hard to answer, as they can change at any given time based on what I'm writing and promoting. As for the third, I've gotten that one more than I'd like, so I'm nervously considering it even though I sound like the personification of cornbread.

BUT . . . if I had to pick ONE CHARACTER to embody most of my books, it would be SHERIFF BRADLEY MANNING!

Pick up any book set in Apple Cart County, Alabama, and he's there. Protecting the fictional world, winking, tipping his tan cowboy hat, and making my fake world a better and more entertaining place. 🤠

And I'm happy to share that @aaron_m_noble will bring him to the screen in Christmas in Dixie!

Run your own race. The only person you have to beat is who you were yesterday. 🏃‍♂️🏅 Be good to people and shine.

Summertime. Carpe diem.
A little candid, cool color edit, a little editorial, mostly just caught me being myself…( dork) 🤷🏻🤡

First impressions matter. They’re the opening scene to every connection worth keeping. The interesting part is what happens after.

What is yours?

I honestly adore a groom moment. It’s his day too, and guys can bring the vibes in ways only they can. Especially when they decide to dress in a way that communicates who they are.
Loving this Ralph Lauren suit paired with Prada loafers and a vintage cameo broach.
