Something new is coming to Tribe.

For the past two years, we’ve built our training process around assessment first.

Movement.
Mobility.
Strength.
Balance.
Stability.
Coordination.
Performance.

Now we’re taking that process considerably further.

Tribe Fitness has made a significant investment in professional athlete performance technology designed to objectively measure and track human performance.

This is the same category of technology being utilized in high-performance environments by organizations including Arsenal FC, the Florida Panthers, Irish Rugby Football Union, England FA and the Texas Rangers.

And now it’s coming to Tribe Fitness in Midlothian, Virginia.

This isn’t about putting a number on an athlete just for the sake of having a number.

It’s about combining objective performance data with experienced coaching and movement analysis to develop a much clearer picture of an athlete’s strengths, limitations and opportunities for development.

We’ll be able to assess and track qualities including:

Strength • Power • Movement • Mobility • Balance • Stability • Jump Performance • Reactive Ability • Velocity

And because the system allows us to build individual athlete profiles and track performance over time, we’re not simply looking at where an athlete is today.

We’re building a history of their performance.

This represents a significant investment in the future of Tribe Fitness and, more importantly, an investment in the athletes we work with.

Whether you’re a competitive youth athlete, high school or college athlete, adult recreational athlete, tactical professional, or simply someone who wants a deeper understanding of your physical performance — this technology gives us another tool to measure what we do.

We’re just getting started.

Pilot testing begins soon.

Proud to partner with OutputSport to make this happen @outputsports

Aaron M. Reyes is the founder and head coach of Tribe Fitness Exclusive Training in Midlothian, Virginia a space built not just to train bodies, but to rebuild lives. His mission is rooted in lived experience, forged through hardship, recovery, and relentless commitment to helping others reclaim their strength.

A former Army combat medic and Staff Sergeant, Aaron served in two overseas deployments before becoming a certified Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructor and Operational Medical Instructor for the U.S. Department of State. He has trained special agents, federal responders, and diplomats in life-saving medical techniques and high-pressure decision-making. Before that, he served as a firefighter and EMT, responding to emergencies with tactical precision and human-centered care.

But Aaron’s most profound lessons didn’t come from the battlefield or the classroom they came from survival. He battled a severe case of ulcerative colitis that required three major abdominal surgeries and the creation of a J-pouch. At the same time, his young son fought his own life-threatening battle: bacterial meningitis that led to a bilateral craniotomy. Together, they endured months of hospitals, therapy, and recovery an experience that forever shaped Aaron’s perspective on movement, health, and the will to fight.

Aaron holds a Master of Science degree from Purdue University and is a nationally certified EMT instructor, instructional design specialist, and a Pain-Free Performance Specialist certified in both kettlebell and landmine coaching. He also holds certifications as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Life Long Performance Specialist and strength coach, with a breadth of specialized credentials across tactical, functional, and rehabilitative training.

At Tribe Fitness, Aaron leads with authenticity. He understands what it’s like to lose strength and to fight like hell to earn it back. Whether you’re a parent, an athlete, or someone starting over, his coaching is built on one simple principle: Train for the life you want to live. taken in Tribe Fitness Exclusive Training by @aaron_reyes_cpt

I once defined myself through strength—as a firefighter, US Army Staff Sergeant, and athlete. Rugby, hockey, and operational medicine were my life. Then ulcerative colitis struck, stripping everything away. I dropped to a dangerous weight, became anemic, and bordered on organ failure. Three consecutive abdominal surgeries followed.

The journey taught me that strength isn’t about being invincible. It’s about adapting when life changes everything. A positive mindset isn’t pretending everything’s fine—it’s acknowledging the struggle while refusing to be defined by it. It’s saying “This is hard, but I’m harder.”

Today, I’m a different kind of warrior. The battles look different, but the spirit remains. Through adaptability and a no-quit attitude, we can all find our way back to ourselves. Not the same selves we were before, perhaps, but stronger in ways we never expected.

Your battle may look different than mine, but you’re stronger than you know. Keep pushing. Keep adapting. Your comeback story is waiting.

@shimmeryt so proud of what you have been able to achieve in only 6 months.

1. Sometimes days off were needed, because she listens to her body and knows when it needs to rest. We work around those.

2. Sometimes sessions need to be adjusted, having a new business and kids is taxing and sometimes lifting the heavies thing you can isn’t necessary or beneficial. Mobility work, body flows, whatever it takes to make movement happen.

3. Sometimes we have to appreciate the wins and enjoy the time you put in for yourself, you deserve the few hours a week of joking, jamming out, and just being off from everything else.

Awesome client, some of the best hours of my work week ! Great work so far!!!!!!

You don’t need to live in survival mode forever. Eventually, you’ve got to learn how to live in the life you fought so hard to build.

Trying not to get so caught up preparing for the next fight that I forget to appreciate the ground that’s been already taken. by @aaron_reyes_cpt

Since integrating Output Sports into my own training, I’ve noticed myself pushing the intensity a little more and being more intentional with my efforts.

Thats the part I’m the most hype about for this technology. Having objective performance data adds another layer to training and gives us more information to guide programming and track progress.

Looking forward to getting the first group of athletes through their performance analyses and putting these tools to work in building smarter, more adaptive programs.

The goal is simple: better data, better programming, better performance.

Better information leads to better training.

I’m currently working through the Output Sports system, learning the setup, testing protocols, and movement variations needed to capture meaningful performance data across different athletic qualities.

From strength and velocity to rotational performance, speed, power output, and ground contact metrics, the goal is to understand not only what the system measures, but how to interpret that information and apply it to training.

Our first athlete pilot group is scheduled to begin November 1. Before that starts, I’m putting in the work to make sure the technology is being used purposefully and the data we collect can help guide better decisions.

At Tribe Fitness, athletic performance analysis is a distinct service—not a standard component of every personal training session. Athletes can pursue a standalone performance assessment or explore how individualized testing and monitoring can complement an ongoing training program.

Measure More. Understand More. Train With Purpose.

Athletic performance is more than what you see on the field, court, or mat. It’s what you can measure, understand, and improve.

Tribe Fitness is bringing Output Sports performance testing to Midlothian, giving athletes access to objective data that can help guide training, track progress, and identify areas for improvement.

We’re building our baseline with local athletes this October and opening the door to a more data-driven approach to performance.

Train with purpose. Measure progress. Build performance.

Now booking athlete performance assessments at Tribe Fitness Exclusive Training.

OCTOBER TRAINING OPENINGS

I’m opening up a limited number of recurring spots for clients looking to train 2–3 days per week.

The goal isn’t just to get you in the gym. It’s to build consistency, develop strength and make measurable progress over time. In my experience, the clients who train two or three times a week have the continuity and follow-through to make the most of their training.

I’m transitioning some of my established once-weekly clients to Coach Joey Slaton as he completes his apprenticeship with me, creating more room in my schedule for clients ready to commit to a more frequent training schedule.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Tuesday + Thursday:

* 1:00 p.m. Tuesday / 12:10 p.m. Thursday
* 2:00 p.m. Tuesday / 1:10 p.m. Thursday

Additional availability:

* Friday: 2:30 p.m.
* Possible Monday: 4:00 p.m.

I’m prioritizing recurring two- and three-day training commitments.

If you’re ready to get consistent and put some real work into your training, send me a DM to discuss availability.

Turning 38 isn’t a signal to slow down. For me, it’s a reminder that the work matters more than ever.

I’ve experienced what it means to have your health and physical capabilities taken away. Multiple surgeries, chronic health issues, and years of putting my body through demanding work have given me a different perspective on training. I know the fight to get back to where you want to be isn’t always easy.

That’s why I take this seriously. I want to be stronger, healthier, and better conditioned for the decades ahead. And I want the same for the people I train.

My job is to support you, meet you where you are, and help you navigate whatever limitations you’re dealing with. But I’m also going to expect you to show up, take ownership, and put in the effort.

You don’t have to be perfect. You do have to be willing to work.
The goal isn’t just to get through the next five or ten years. It’s to build the strength and capacity to make the most of them. taken in Tribe Fitness Exclusive Training by @aaron_reyes_cpt

Steve:

We’ve been building his strength, control, and athleticism — and now we’re seeing that work transfer.

Today: moving the ball quick, producing force fast, and getting ready to get back on the baseball field.

This is what performance training should look like: build the athlete, not just the exercise.
