As I see the @mondonews Donatello is getting into all kindsa hands I wanna show off the amazing work of my friend and coworker @brandon.gash . I have to say I get to do a lot of fun stuff over at Mondo, but the collaboration we have going on over there is just a beautiful thing. I was inspired by his toy sculpt to try and make the coolest cover I could for the figure and I did my spin on Donatellos little work room. Brandon then came along and brought my illustration into full 3d life with this diorama. It’s just wild to see this, I feel just all the joys! Everyday is so exciting with this crew. I just can’t thank Brandon and the rest of the guys over there for bringing me in to this lovely little work environment they have and not once making me feel out of place or that I wasn’t contributing just as much as everyone else from day one! Alright you mutant freaks here it is, the final full color image of this years @mondonews TMNT SDCC poster by me! This is the 3rd year I’ve done TMNT posters for mondo and I am so lucky to have gotten to know these kids. But to be able to just bring back all the joy that the turtles have brought me over my life and put it back out in these posters has been one of the most special projects of my life! More process on this years SDCC @mondonews TMNT exclusive poster! Once I had my scribbles all in place I go in for a nice tight pencil. Ok let’s talk about this new @mondonews TMNT poster I have coming out at SDCC this year! So almost like 2 years ago after I finished the first big TMNT poster for mondo they said hey let’s start thinking about doing another one. At the time we had not yet worked on the vinyl figures packaging art, when the backing art of that ended up being so fun we decided it had to be posters of that the next year. So with that and all the other work I was doing for the kids over there this bad boy got pushed back. I’ll be honest , I know the kind of work I put into this stuff and I was secretly hoping I never had to actually draw it. We can all see how that turned out haha! Horror Of Godzilla Variant cover scribble ideas. Loosely based on Hammers Curse If Frankenstein cover. They first told us we had to change the Big guy to look like he does in the Horror comic.
