Hey folks!

Just wanted to say… Thank you soooo much for all
of the birthday wishes! I can safely say that I have felt the love today 🥰. You’re all the best!

Thank you also to my family for the cards and gifts. It made me smile, chuckle, and I feel eternally grateful! 🥰

I apologise if I haven’t been able to reply today. It was a very busy and full day without my phone in hand.

Today was a two show day for West End Camp’s annual show. I have finished my day so full of pride!

The kids and young adults never cease to amaze me. They get out there, get on with it, and always execute to their best. We really do have some rising talents, and I am so proud of each and every one of them.

Even better… I performed with a few of them myself today which was so much fun. Notably, our version of “Hard To Be The Bard” from Something Rotten with the senior lads. They rocked into it and it’s great to have them on stage rocking into the concept, singing in three part harmony, and not giving a damn.

To be a teacher in performing arts is a blessing. You watch your students grow from small, and they grow, and grow, and suddenly they amaze you! You feel such pride for them. Especially the quiet ones, who one day just pick it up and sell it! So many to note, it’s untrue!

During a show, you watch from the sidelines, you support in their transitions, you discipline, you encourage, you worry, you relax, you enjoy, you beam ☺️. And suddenly your heart is full.

The kids, knowing that I was supporting them on my birthday, showed the greatest appreciation, and heaps of love. What an awesome bunch of humans who have such respect and comradely spirit.

I’ve been bouncing around with the best staff ever, who just wish nothing but the best for them. It’s a great team.

I had a lovely little lunch date today, which brought me so much humour. Thank you Jessie Heard for keeping me in fine company and for all of my little goodies.

Thank you, Sophie Ayers, for allowing me the privilege to be a part of such an incredible enterprise. Best way to spend your time, and especially today 🥳.

So.. thank you one and all!

This girl is the encapsulation of selflessness, support, and opportunity. She’s an absolute one of a kind, and my heart is always full for her.

To be an extension of all that she achieves is more than a guy could wish for.

Through the good times and bad, she’s remained a consistent, and I just cannot thank her enough.

So…

Birmingham's BMOS Musical Theatre Company have been invited to sing a couple of numbers from our production of We Will Rock You in Magic Of The Musicals at Stourbridge Town Hall Theatre on 16th May. They will be performing alongside some of the West End’s finest along with a live band.

I may be making an appearance yodelling myself! 😉

GODSPEED TITANIC

I missed the actual anniversary, but a week ago, 114 years to the day, Titanic struck an iceberg and just under three hours later she foundered beneath the ocean surface.

It brings back a memory of being in a scratty rehearsal room with some insanely talented individuals, singing Godspeed Titanic, as she takes off on her maiden voyage. One set of rehearsals for two very lovely concerts performed to the masses of Leamington Spa.

This fills me with so much joy, and I certainly miss being surrounded by such a fine sounding group of people. Each one of generous heart and soul.

Perhaps something grander in the future? Who knows? by @aarongibson89
