I sat down with Fox Business to talk about the proposed tax, and I’ll say it plainly: it would be disastrous for California and for our real estate market. Between interest rates, inflation, and rising costs, buyers and sellers have had enough. Right now many of them are on the sidelines waiting to see what happens. This is a top down market, and when the top stops transacting, everyone feels it.

Everyone sees the billionaire. Few see the company behind them, the employees behind that company, and the restaurants, shops and nightlife those paychecks keep alive. California needs industry to survive. If this tax passes, I believe we’ll see a mass exodus, and the whole state will feel it.
