Some odd months ago, after graduating from film school, I sat down with my good friend @annaehsu and we both knew we wanted to make another film by any means necessary. After beat boarding and writing it all out, it became something that I not only wanted to shoot, but it was a piece highly reflective of the emotions I’d felt living independently. After shooting and piecing it all together, it became even more apparent and I’m very proud of the work that’s come as a result.

This film was made by sheer will. No Budget. 5 person crew, limited shoot hours, nothing to fall back on, just hungry people who want to make movies. I cannot thank everyone who worked on this enough, I fall more in love with the process each passing day, and I have countless more I hope to bring to life along with all my friends. But for now enjoy Solitaire, a film about Tennis, Romance, and most importantly, Independence 🎾

It’s been a LONG wait, but finally I’m happy to announce that Knotted is available to watch online. (Link in bio)🎬🎞️

The journey of this film changed who I am. Nearing the end of 2023, I hated my life, I had so much I wanted to do but felt I had no direction or avenue to achieve it. Out of frustration, I wrote this film, something I thought could not only be entertaining, but a small beacon of hope for other artists. It was a labor of love that so many others including my thesis partners, @ivy.stokes @hennadossani and @artisanfilms_ believed in and contributed the best of their craft towards.

Never in a million years did I think it would result in me making numerous relationships, traveling coast to coast, seeing the premiere on Hollywood Blvd, taking home an award (for writing!), and getting to watch audiences react and connect with this silly Coming-of-Age comedy that just three years ago, I never would’ve thought myself capable of making.

I hope everyone enjoys, thank you to all the cast and crew who helped make this possible, and consider the Knot officially tied 🪢

Knotted is officially wrapped!!! 😆

I am so grateful for EVERYONE who came together to make this film a reality. It’s been my lifelong dream to direct and create a project of this scale and it takes a village to all come together and make truly special art. My heart is so full and the passion every cast and crew member brought to set will translate on screen.

To @hennadossani @ivy.stokes, I am so proud to call you my thesis partners, both of your support through this journey has given me so much joy and confidence to keep creating.

To @artisanfilms_ you are my partner in crime. I could not imagine bringing this to life without your eye and creative vision.

To @_zack.ekasala_ you are an amazing Assistant Director. This project does not work without your expertise, your voice, and calm demeanor even in pressure situations.

And finally to @alia_williams and the rest of my amazing cast, you all brought the film to life in a way my own brain could not have even imagined. It’s a true honor to have worked with all of you.

Thank you EVERYONE and let’s finish tying the knot! 🪢 by @aaronmclaughlinn
