Hey Buddy!! Happy 10th anniversary (month) to the first record “Sunday Morning Murder Songs”. What started as an idea to write songs for other people turned into a new road of creativity. It was a pretty tough year from the start but making this record with a huge amount of crazy talented friends made everything possible and helped get me though it. Insane to think it’s been 10 years. The record, along with “M.E.C.O.” and “Monolith” are back up on Spotify and Apple. Give ‘em a spin. What track do you like? Should I make more? Is this thing on? - AO #sundayfunday #orbit #10yearanniversary #music #monolith #spotify #oldnewmusic #newtome by @aaronorbit

Yardlights Studio provides a safe space for us to get it right in the studio. When you work with me as a producer or engineer Studio time here is added on at no extra cost. That way we can take our time with overdubs like vocals and extras without sweating the clock or worrying how much time we’re spending. Yardlights Studio is also my home base for mixing and all things post production as well. So grateful that I have a space where I can make music. Having a dedicated space can really help you level up. This is from a vocal tracking session with Aaron Orbit we are working on a song can’t wait for you to hear it. #mixengineer #vocalproduction #vocalproducer #recordingstudios #vocalrecording taken in El Sereno by @aaronorbit

Stoked to be producing a new song by Mr. @aaronorbit. We’ve been tracking @captains_quarters_studio_vta with help from @armand_john_lizzy. Highlights include tracking Aaron’s beautiful @guildguitars 12 string acoustic, swipe for video. We doubled that and then dug into rhythm guitars. First clean electric was Strat through a Roland JC- 120 Jazz Chorus what an awesome amp for clean guitars. Added a little bit of chorus on the amp. For the double Aaron played my Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster Custom ( pictured ) . So 4 layers of rhythm guitar - 2 12-string acoustics and 2 clean electric rhythm guitars. Of course I brought my trusty @undertoneaudio GB tracker which we used to capture a clean DI. After I comped and edited the electric guitars, we reamped them through a different amp - a beautiful Vox Ac -15 that was luckily at the studio from another session. We mic’d both amps with 2 microphones - a @shure SM57 ( of course ) and a @royerlabs R10 ribbon mic. These were brought up on the console so we could check for ohase and then blended before printing to one track in Pro Tools. The blend used kore of the SM57 with the R10 adding a touch if low mid body. Unfortunately i didn’t get footage of tracking drums and bass. This is always an issue in the studio as we want to document and get content but we’re way more focused on how things sound !
