This is a traditional folk song my dad used to sing to us when we were little. I always loved it. The song is called “Red River Valley”. It’s so old, no writer is credited, and it was passed down thru oral tradition.

Raw and uncut footage from my first Home town Green Bay performance. There’s something about playing with just a guitar and voice un amplified that makes me feel at home. I’m sure there are a lot of musicians who can relate to that, as that is how most of us started.

This song is called “Some Of Them” off of my album “Father Time”

My next gig is Oct 23rd at New Moon Cafe in Oshkosh WI. It’s a free all ages show and my set is 7-7:30 followed by @localrepresentative_band

I hope you have a great weekend.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first ever performance in my home town of Green Bay WI. The whole day was filled with family both blood related and people who have known me since I was a small child. It’s a different kind of feeling, that was very healing and also long overdue.

Here’s a walk through what a day looks like on the day of a show.

The funny thing is the weather acted up so we didn’t even use the PA I loaded, but that made it even more intimate and organic, and I loved it.

Shout out Creating Space Healing Arts Community , @ameliafordmusic @wagonroots and Denny.

Happy Birthday Paula!

When I’m one week out from a gig, the process of preparation is pretty similar, whether I’m playing with a band, or doing an acoustic/solo show.

1: Last minute edits to a setlist that’s already been edited 10 times.

2: Warm up on my @breedloveguitar, unplugged.

3: Turn on the PA. and make any adjustments needed.

4: Run through (in this case) a 1 hour set of original music.

5. Come back and work on any parts that I messed up.

Then I’ll repeat this process throughout the week leading up to the gig, and that works pretty well for me. How do you prepare for a gig, or something you’re passionate about and working on consistently?

One week from today I’m playing an all ages early day time gig in the Green Bay Area. HMU for more details!

I’ve known this young man since he was a small child, and he has one of the kindest souls I’ve come across. I received a text from my good friend @jessica_lee_bradford that her brother wore a shirt of his favorite singer to school 🏫 🥲😍. That really lifted my spirit that day, so I want to send a shout out to him and his mom @peridot_peepers , and thank them for supporting my music.
