MATTHEW 16:24-26 ‼️‼️

True surrender is letting go of what we cannot keep to gain what we cannot lose.
Worldly things are fleeting, but the Lord remains constant. He is our stronghold and our refuge, the place where true life is found. In our darkest moments, He is the light that leads us out.

He doesn’t expect perfection — He desires submission. As we empty ourselves before Him, He fills us again. He is the One who gave us life, and when we begin to surrender ourselves, we start to experience the life He intended for us.

When our gaze is fixed only on Christ and nothing else, that is where true surrender begins. He is the constant in every storm. He is our one good thing. In our faithlessness, He remains faithful. And how beautiful it is that when we come to the end of ourselves, we can fall safely into our Savior’s loving

Finishing my last year of camp also means I finished my last year of team competition. For how much it has affected and shaped who I am today, it deserves its own post.

I have learned how to be passionate in everything I do. I have learned how to give all that I have until I can’t anymore.

I have learned how to encourage both others and myself in hard circumstances. I have learned what it looks like to choose joy.

I learned how to love those around me in the midst of frustration or sadness. I learned patience.

Most importantly, I learned that my identity is in something bigger than winning or losing. My identity is rooted in the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.

I am forever grateful and blessed for the opportunity to play against all these amazing girls and play for something bigger. I want to thank all of my coaches and captains over the years. I will never forget the encouragement and constant support. It has been an honor to compete and get to play for the glory of God all of these years. It’s always been more than a game. It’s shaped how I live in my daily life.

i don’t have the words to talk about camp or describe how much it means to me yet. i have tasted and seen the joy and goodness of the Lord. I think this photo accurately represents how camp is going and how evident the Lord’s joy is there! by @aaverymoss

I have this really cool opportunity to go to camp for the last time and than get to serve kids in the way i’ve been served for so many years for the next 5 weeks! i’m beyond excited but will miss everyone so much! that being said, write me!! by @aaverymoss

in case you guys didn’t know today is ava vanston’s birthday. whenever somebody talks about being filled by the joy of the Lord, Ava is the first person i think of. she truly has been a reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness in my life and a true gift. her heart for Jesus inspires me daily and is evident in all she does to all those around her. she never fails to show up for me in whatever situation (constantly putting up with all my ish). she has a heart for others that reflects her overflowing love of the Lord and I am beyond grateful to get caught in that overflow. everyone needs an Ava in their life and i’m grateful to have mine! happy birthday Av, i love you and am grateful to call you my best friend 🤟💛 by @aaverymoss
