where voices rose and merged in light,
a simple whisper broke the loud
and set the quiet canvas right.
“Make art,” she said—and through the haze,
the sudden brightness of a smile,
capturing how a spirit stays
and lights the world a little while.

Download ![I have had a vision in my head for a while now. My friend Simran suggested I should shoot with Isha and I am so glad we finally made it happen everything just seemed to align
The day before the shoot I was 100km away in Fujairah when I received a text: “Hey this is Isha. Simran connected us. Are you available tomorrow?” I was in the middle of many things and with my wife arriving the following week I knew I had to make this shoot with Isha happen the very next day.
The journey to meet Isha was a bit of a whirlwind. A friend of Darriens dropped me near Sharjah, where I planned to take the metro to the friends place I was staying at. However once I arrived I realized I had missed the train. I called my friend, AK Aftab. Amazing human being and an equally annoying one but we love AK. Not did Ak pick me up but he let me stay at his place because I realized I had left my house keys back in Fujairah. Yeah that actually happened to me with Ishas shoot around the corner.
The people of the UAE are very generous whether you are here for a visit or you are a resident of the UAE. The wind in the UAE is generous and comfortable. I could even say the wind in the UAE is warm but summer is here haha. I was excited to shoot with Isha in this weather.
The morning we grabbed some food and went to pick up Isha and Nikki. Nikki is a makeup artist from Australia who is now in Dubai exploring new opportunities with Isha. Up until the day we hadn’t settled on a location for the shoot with Isha; we wanted somewhere that allowed us to work freely with Isha without the rigid time restraints of a studio. We decided on the Half Desert. Honestly even though it was only my second time there in seven years the experience with everyone made me feel so happy and complete.
Simran, Isha, Nikki and AK. Thank you all for putting in the effort to create something beautiful with me. I am proud of all of us, to more shoots, InshaAllah.
