my first 26.2 in the BIG APPLE!!! 🗽💫I pray I never take for granted the ability to breathe and move my body. running has shown me what happens when I consistently show up, and it has improved my life in more ways than one- it’s allowed me to believe in myself and that I can reach the goals I set even when it gets hard, it brings me so much gratitude for food and its purpose to fuel me, and it’s brought an insanely talented and motivating running community by my side. my gratitude extends to so many people- to my sweet community that chased me around the city, to every person that donated to @teamforkids or just sent a message my way, to my friends (or really anyone lol) who heard me talk about this race for months and were a constant source of encouragement, to my running community who I got to train with, to @elijahzeisloft for hitting PR distance runs with me during training so I wouldn’t run by myself, and to my mom @gail.combs for believing in me for 26+ years. I wouldn’t have made it to the start line or crossed the finish line without them. what a dream of a day November 2nd was, and what a privilege this all is! I LOVE YOU NEW YORK!!
