A LOOK BACK AT COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN EKRITAM AKPAN-OBONG, ITU LGA

Some moments are worth revisiting because they remind us why we serve.
At the Adam Ekong Foundation, we believe that humanitarian work is not only about providing material support. It is also about showing up, listening, encouraging people, and reminding communities that they are seen, valued and not forgotten.

During one of our community outreaches in Ekritam Akpan-Obong, Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, we had the opportunity to spend time with members of the community, share words of encouragement and engage with families and individuals from the area.
We also distributed clothing, shoes and food items to members of the community, particularly those who needed support.

What stood out was not simply what was given, but the human connection created in the process. The conversations, smiles, fellowship and shared moments reminded us that sometimes, a little support can bring hope and encouragement to someone going through a difficult season.

These photographs are from that outreach, but the mission behind them remains very much alive.

The Adam Ekong Foundation is committed to extending compassion, dignity and practical support to vulnerable individuals and communities, wherever the need exists.

As we look back at where we have been, we are also looking ahead to where we can make an even greater difference.

Compassion. Community. Impact.

Well, the response to this one on my Story was too good not to share it here.
Apparently, this is what ChatGPT thinks I would have looked like in the ’80s.
I can't lie... I think it got the assignment right.
What do you think?

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at the National Bamboo Development Policy Workshop in Abuja on “MSME and Grassroots Readiness.”

At the Community Development Center for Bamboo and Rattan, our focus is simple: policy must work on the ground.

We addressed key realities facing MSMEs:
•Policy ambiguity
•Quality gaps
•Insecure cultivation rights
•Financing mismatched to crop cycles
•Need for sustainable feedstock as demand grows.

Bamboo holds real economic potential for Nigeria, but clarity, coordination, and commercialization bridges are critical for small players to scale sustainably.

Grateful to the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and partners for convening this important dialogue.
The work continues. 🌿🇳🇬

2026: A Year of Purpose, Compassion & Service
As we step fully into 2026, our hearts remain anchored in faith, humanity, and service.
At the Adam Ekong Foundation, this year is not just about new beginnings, it is about renewed commitment to the vulnerable, the forgotten, and the hopeful.
We believe that compassion changes lives.
That dignity is a right, not a privilege.
And that when humanity leads, transformation follows.
From communities to hospitals, prisons to orphanages, villages to voices unheard, we move forward with one mission: to serve with love, integrity, and impact.
This year, we choose hope.
We choose action.
We choose humanity.
2026 has begun, and so has the work.

At Adam Ekong Foundation, compassion is more than an action, it’s our identity.
From prisons to hospitals, from orphanages to rural villages, to nursing mothers and the most vulnerable around us, we go where the need calls.
Every smile shared, every hand lifted, every life touched reminds us why we serve.

These moments are not just outreach activities…
They are stories of hope, dignity, and humanity, made possible through love, partnership, and unwavering commitment to a better world.

As we continue this mission, we stand aligned with global efforts to create a more inclusive, equitable, and compassionate society.
Together, we can transform lives, one act of kindness at a time.
