September is Suicide Awareness Month. 🤍

Days like these can feel so heavy, seemingly filled with grief and sadness. But I’ve chosen to look at grief as a reminder of how much we loved the people we’ve lost. For me, September is a reminder of how much I adored Garrison, and how much I still do. I say it all the time, and I’ll continue to say it every day, praise God for eternal life and the gift of Heaven. God was so evident in Garrison’s life, and He continues to be. Even in the midst of grief, I see little reminders of Garrison everywhere, little “God winks” that remind me that his life, and his impact are still so present.

Coming to Mississippi State as an out of state freshman was terrifying. As a PNM, I prayed for a sisterhood that felt genuine, loyal, and easy. Walking into ADPi felt like that and so much more. I see the Lord so clearly in each of these women. They encourage me in my faith, challenge me to grow, and guide me in the best ways possible. A sisterhood is a close bond, a feeling of friendship, love, and support among women. ADPi is that and everything more. Thank you, Jesus, for this chapter and for the women who make it so special!! Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!! I truly can’t put into words what this summer has meant to me. The Lord’s presence is so evident at Camp Winnataska, and His light shines so bright through His people. These people have changed my life in countless ways, and I’m beyond grateful to call them my family. I’ll forever thank God for this summer and the ways He has worked in and through each of us!!
