โค๏ธ ๐’ฅ๐’œ๐‘€๐ธ๐’ฎ ๐’ฒ๐’œ๐’ฉ ๐’ฎ๐’ฏ๐’œ๐’ž๐’ฆ โค๏ธ.. if you know me well enough, you know James Wan is my favorite director. i'm shocked itโ€™s taken me this long to dedicate an entire post to his work, but it needed to happen. when people talk about Saw, most of the grace does to Leigh Whannell instead of James. any POC horror fan knows how that goes. the white man gets all the credit, while the man of color busts his ass for a fraction of the recognition. well not today. today we big up James Wan & all he's done for the horror genre. whether you like his movies or not, you canโ€™t deny the impact he's made. ***i fuck with Leigh Whannell HEAVY. so this is no shade to him. i love his work. his Invisible Man remake is a masterpiece, in my opinion ๐Ÿ”ฅ by @abadwitch

Black History Month is very important this year considering all the attacks on marginalized groups going on. i still have a long way to go, watching all the films this subgenre has to offer. but i wanted to share some of my recommendations. my favorite being The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) โœจ๐Ÿโœจ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐Ÿ”ฎโœจ i'm half Haitian ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น so i appreciate the representation, even though itโ€™s not the best ๐Ÿ˜‚ but itโ€™s directed by Wes Craven, so the quality is high. and i give it grace due to it's age. itโ€™s still a really entertaining & creepy movie that i think a lot of people would enjoy. listen to black voices. shop with black owned businesses. protect black women. protect black trans people. educate yourself about black history, black culture & black art. DON'T CLAIM TO BE AN ALLY IF YOU AREN'T DOING THE WORK. by @abadwitch
