Something Sparkling from the southern hemisphere. This was a great find from my pal, Mathilde @blueangelwinesbrooklyn
Hope you have something fun to lift you from the soaking Sunday blues.

Happy fall?!
Honestly, i much prefer the low-abv wines from @livingrootswine sessions line. I like the idea of lower alcohol wines for a variety of reasons, but this doesn't taste great. It worked with my spicy takeout, but then wasn't very enjoyable after. There was a strange bitterness to it. I might try it in a spritz or something though.
Hopefully, I'll find some better bubbles for tonight!
Not every bottle can be a winner.

Lovely day to drown yourself in some beautiful bubbles from Champagne! Many thanks to my friend who provided this bottle and shared it with me. If only every week was kicked off with Rosé Champagne.

Been a rough week so I'm keeping it simple. A lovely rosé Prosecco--a little pink for our Parton queen. Sending you love and light.
PS I picked up this bottle @harlemwine for $15!

Have you ever had any wine from the Ukraine? This was definitely my first bottle of bubbles from there. This region is the southwestern most part of the country.
The bottle benefits from a little open air. It continued to develop flavors and aromas over a few hours, which is common for many wines but i find particularly true for sparkling wines made from red grapes.
Hope you're enjoying some sun today--who knows when the next torrential downpours will come.

In my defense...I recorded this video weeks ago...so my use of lemon verbena as a tasting note was not as back to back as it appears...and I promise it didn't just come up on a tasting note of the week calendar!
Anyway. Lovely bubbly Chenin--I pouring this at Corkbuzz for happy, sparkling humans.

First tried this wine in CDMX for my birthday in 2025. Immediately fell in love. Met Xaime (the winemaker) at Karakterre several months later and got to try more of his wines and tell him how much I loved them. Then a few months after that I started working for VOS Selections, whom I get to sell the wine for! I've since met Xaime again and had the pleasure of tasting more of his wines as well as his spirits, and tomorrow? I get to POUR this wine (current vtg) and another phenomenal Mexican wine (skin contact Sauvignon Blanc from @casa_jipi_wine ) AND a New York Cab Franc from the 2nd oldest winemaking family in Long Island @paumanokvineyards

Not much else says fun like a Sparkling Gamay. It's an excellent food companion and a great crowd pleaser--especially as a start to your meal or evening.
It's like a popsicle for grown ups.
(Interested in trying it for your program? HMU)
