POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our P-39 project has reached another milestone. Our restoration crew has moved the fuselage off its stands to get it ready for the paint shop.

Thanks to our restoration volunteers for their hard work! And to our volunteer Steve Finkelman who caught this special moment on video.

Join us for a meaningful day of creativity, storytelling, and remembrance with Lorrie Lawrence of the Indigenous Artist Market Collective.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own beaded poppy while learning about the significance of Remembrance Day.

As you bead, Lorrie will also share stories of Indigenous veterans and their contributions to Canada’s military history, offering an opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect through art and storytelling.

Please note that there are only 25 spots available in total and that for organizational reasons, it is not possible to purchase tickets on the day of the event. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, we encourage you to purchase your ticket as soon as possible!

No previous beading experience is required. All materials are provided.

Meet our October Volunteer of the Month, Steve Finkelman! ✈️

As part of our Communications Department, Steve helps bring the stories of the Alberta Aviation Museum to life. One of the ways he does that is through his Behind the Scenes series, giving visitors a glimpse into the people, projects, and aircraft that make our museum special.

Be sure to catch the latest episode on the big screen at the front of the museum next time you visit or take a look at our YouTube channel!
