leo is a preschool graduate🥲🎓💐🫶🏽 words will never be able to fully express what Giant Steps means to our family and what it did for leo. it gave us tools, confidence, and hope to navigate the world of autism that once felt so uncertain. special shout out to his amazing + wonderful teachers who loved and cared for leo in ways we didn’t know how to yet. they gave us hope for what is possible. to leo’s bus driver who gave us special treatment and would drop leo off at my work twice a week. i’ll never forget his kindness or his efforts to make our lives easier. and to the parents who shared their stories so openly. their honesty strengthened me and gave me the courage to share mine. i found a community i never knew i needed, but couldn’t have managed this journey without. it is bittersweet closing this chapter, but we are walking away with so much love and gratitude for everyone who played such a pivotal role in leo’s journey and ours. thank you, Giant Steps. you have a home in our hearts forever♾️ by @abaybay_12

when i found out i was pregnant, i really wanted a brother for leo. i imagined someone who would stand beside him and protect him if anyone was ever unfair or unkind. but what leo really needed was saint. someone who would love him with a quiet softness, who would nurture him in a way only she can, while still knowing exactly how to stand her ground when it matters. the way saint loves her brother feels so natural, so instinctive - like it was written this way all along. and in the end, it’s clear it was always meant to be her🤍 by @abaybay_12
