TLDR: I’m leaving the internet. Join my email list xo

Hi fronds! The true Crabby Abbey fans out there may have already noticed that I’ve taken my music off of streaming services. It’s always available on Bandcamp though so don’t you fret.

I’m really excited to say that I’m working on a new record that I hope to wrap up imminently. If you follow me on bandcamp you’ll be notified when I do!

Which brings me to my point: I’m bailing on IG for the foreseeable future. I have a mailing list that you can sign up for on my website (link in bio) which I send out max once a month and lists shows I’m playing.

Also, send me your shows and email newsletters too!

See you IRL! by @abbeyraeblackwell

Well it’s official people. Big Big Motion is everywhere. Go find it where ya like to. 💙🌱✨

Evolving from acoustic-set lushness into an expansive sound with melodic lap steel and jazzy rhythms, “Rise and Set” is a moving new track from Seattle-based musician Abbey Blackwell. Described as “a playful look at the end of a relationship, and finding solace in the things that stay constant,” “Rise and Set” represents the first single from Blackwell’s upcoming full-length Dream a Day, out on April 7th.

“What a perfect time to make it on your own,” Blackwell’s serene vocals let out during the initial, acoustic-forward section. Gentle rhythms ease in seamlessly thereafter, the vibrant twangs and ascending vocals stirring in the “rise in the west, set in the east” culmination. Hazy, ethereal tones and a beckoning to “keep holding me” result in a grippingly emotive standout of a track, leaving us firmly anticipating the forthcoming Dream a Day.

Blackwell is also known for her work as a bassist for acclaimed groups like Alvvays and La Luz. by @abbeyraeblackwell

🎉 I'm here for a bit to tell you that I am doing lots this spring and I want to share it with you! ❤️ I am:

1) releasing a record 4/7.
2) going on tour with @keeleyboyle down the west coast 4/11-4/17.
3) making new shirts with cute little Junis on them.

I will be getting off this platform ASAP because I lose my mind. 🔈Please sign up for my email list to hear more about the above very important info💫 by @abbeyraeblackwell

A huge thank you to @doebayresort for allowing my presence (and Juni’s) up at the bay last week for some much needed R&R (and practicing). They have a generous and super sweet artist in residence program for those interested next year. And for everyone else, it’s also very much worth the trip up north.

Also very fun to see @shanacleveland and @willsprott up there too 🌟 by @abbeyraeblackwell

Get it on your calendars! More shows to come for the festival but excited to get them on your wavelengths. by @abbeyraeblackwell

Give me a ring for your musical needs. I’m swimming in time (in all the ways) and would love to play on your stuff or do some lessons. It’ll be fun!! by @abbeyraeblackwell

Juni dog and I are here to say that I’ll be at the @spenardjazzfest tomorrow at the @anchoragemuseum at 7:30. Come say hi! by @abbeyraeblackwell
