Now tell me something about you! 😁 I feel like I’ve lost touch with so many of my followers ever since my account grew, but it’s still just lil ole me behind all those numbers and squares and I’d love to reconnect with you guys! 🥰

My name is Abbey. I’m from North Carolina. I moved to South Korea in 2012 to teach English and stayed for 3 years. While I was there, I started wire wrapping because I didn’t have a sewing machine (I studied fashion design because I loved upcycling clothes). After Korea , I traveled by myself in Southeast Asia for 8 months to go rock climbing and I met Julien in Thailand. Fell in love but I already had a visa and plans to move to Australia for a year. Instead of backpacking, I worked 3 jobs to save money to move to France to be with Julien. When I arrived, I couldn’t speak the language or get a job. So I wire wrapped for hours every day and opened an Etsy shop, and now I’m a full time artist 💜

PS-So today I straightened my hair for the first time in years and wow it’s gotten long haha! (That’s actually why I took this video) then I realized I haven’t done a meet the maker post in years so I guess today is a good day since my hair doesn’t look like a bird nest for once. Perfect opportunity to show off these copper hoop dangle that are available in shop too!😁

Freshening up my environment, learning new things, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I’m so excited about this next chapter. 😎

Especially my PDF guide on wire weaving! My goal was to complete my first PDF tutorial before the end of the year and here we are in October and she’s almost ready to launch 🙌 I know this probably isn’t a big deal to a lot of people, people make PDF tutorials all the time, but for me it’s huge because it required a LOT of concentration, organized thinking, and decision making, and for someone with ADD, that’s extra work.

Also, this baby is 48 pages 🫣But it covers SO much more than just showing you the weaves. I try my best to explain about the wire, tools, show you tips and tricks, and keep you motivated. And there’s LOTS of pics.

After 10 years, some things become easier. If you’re just starting out and struggling I GET IT. Wire is frustrating, it’s stubborn.. you tell it to go one way and it goes the other (sounds like me in high school) 🙃 That’s why I want to help you guys learn!
