Handmade sundried dress constructed of recycled paper, denim, alpaca wool and finished with walnut oil, konjac glazes and beeswax.This process was inspired by Kamiko washi clothing makers in Shiroishi and Tödai-ji temple in Nara who maintain traditional craftsmanship.This paper dress isn’t a replica of the original method, but rather an homage to the lengthy process of the original craft itself of cultivating, draining, repeatedly kneading, drying and treating over long periods.My research begun with the Paper People - Making clothing from paper in Japan project @daphne_mvp @dnj_paperShot by @j4ke3vansModelled by @martaburhan@bafcsm by @abbi3mary
